Iia Disera Sequel Part 2

"Where are we headed?" Duo asked as they began to eat.

"Zera," Quatre said. "I've submitted a landing request and just got a form back to fill out."

"I'll do it later," Duo said.

"I wonder what Zera will be like?" Trowa chewed thoughtfully. "We've been on a few other planets and stars and they've been fairly different. I wonder if we'll find places like Adua. Or like Hydro."

Heero nodded. "I wonder too, just how different the worlds are," he said. "It will be interesting."

"It will," Duo said with a grin. "Last time we landed on a planet called Teira and the only one who didn't have fun was me."

"Why?" Heero asked, curious.

"Duo! Not at the table!" Quatre said with a flush.

Duo ignored the database system. "Teira was all about being innovative in gaining release. In fact, the arm in the washrooms? They were modelled after something I saw in Teira."

Heero's eyes were wide. "So people there were all about...sex?"

"Teira is almost like a vacation place. Teirans live their lives creating things to make sex more fun for others. Themselves, and visitors. It was a very popular place." He grinned at Heero. "Let's go there sometime!"

Heero coughed and changed the subject. "I'm curious about Teirans, or any other species you've seen in your travels. Do they all look...like we do? Hydrans tend to think of other living species as being very different, physically. That was partially why I couldn't believe you were not Hydrans to start with. At just a glance, it's hard to tell Hydrans and Arians apart."

"Teirans were not like us," Wufei said. "Teirans had two extra limbs extending from either side of their waist. Tentacles. Used mainly for gripping their partner to them, for tying them up, or for penetration. Their skin is dark. Facially, they all have black eyes and their faces are longer than ours. But if you covered them up, and they hid the extra limbs, they'd look...like two-legged species of a different race."

Heero nodded slowly.

"I want tentacles," Duo chuckled. "Think of how fun it would be, Heero!"

"No thanks," Heero said dryly. "I'm not really into that, I don't think."

"You've never tried it!" Duo said. "How would you know?"

"I don't intend to. Doesn't it mean being intimate with a Teiran? Unless you're going to sprout tentacles..."

"That's exactly what Trowa did!" Duo said, causing Quatre and Trowa to blush. "Teiran technology allowed for it to happen! All Trowa had to do after paying for it, was to be hooked up to something that allowed his thoughts to control them, after a bit of practice and adjusting. Teirans charged an obscene price for it or I would have gotten a set for them as a present."

"Duo!" Quatre said.

"How do you know about it?" Heero asked, feeling a stab of jealousy. "Did you participate? Or watch them?"

"I walked in on them. Again." Duo laughed. "We'd set a certain time to eat and they were late, so I went to find them. And when they didn't answer, I walked in on them and saw it. I had to eat alone that night, since they were too far gone to even hear me."

"The food was interesting!" Trowa cut in, still a little red. "When we aren't eating Arian food, the taste that we try to imagine doesn't quite work. It makes eating Arian food all the more interesting, because it means we don't have to be in Teira in order to taste the sorts of foods they had."

Wufei nodded. "Not to mention that studying their world was very interesting too. Their architecture, their environment, everything physically around them was very different than Adua, or our home Eikel."

"What about other places?" Heero asked.

"We'll discuss those later," Duo said. "I'm going to go deal with those papers now, and then I need to find Kohru and Shina."

"I'll give you a hand," Quatre said. "You tend to forget things."

"Hey!" Duo sent him a dirty look. "You aren't supposed to talk about my negative traits in front of my other."

Wufei laughed. "I'm sure you have many other positive traits to make up for it," he said, raising his eyebrow. "I'll be in the lounge with Trowa. We've a game to finish."

"Heero?" Duo gestured towards the door. "Want to come with me?"

Heero nodded, curious about the procedures Leo would need to land somewhere. He followed Duo and Quatre into the control center, but Quatre excused himself for a moment, heading to his room.

Duo pulled Heero into the control center and into a chair. He then straddled Heero, leaning down a little to rest their foreheads together.

"I can't wait to see Zera with you," he said softly. "And it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm hoping to be intimate with you somewhere other than Leo. Or the fact that I wish it could be somewhere like Teira."

"You don't have to be in any of those places...with any of those things or technology, to be intimate with me," Heero pointed out. "We don't need that."

"You found the arm in the washroom fun," Duo pointed out.

Heero tugged on Duo's braid, not bothering to deny the statement. It had been fun, but it was mostly because Duo had been right there with him. Duo would either be behind him, or he'd be watching Duo try to fight the pleasure provided by the mechanism. Both were fun and both were damn hot to see and experience, but still, Heero liked it best when he was just with Duo.

"What are you thinking?" Duo asked, kissing Heero's nose.

"Nothing that I'm not usually thinking about," Heero said, finding himself always thinking of his other.

"I must be the subject then," Duo said with a cocky grin. "If you're anything like me, then you'd be thinking of your other. Me!" he said gleefully.

Heero pushed at Duo. "Off, before Quatre comes back in, or we get distracted. We have things to do."

"Fine." Duo stood and pulled Heero up so that he could take the seat and access the control panel. Heero stood beside him, watching as Duo tapped several keys to pull up the documents.

"Aren't there different languages?" Heero asked. "How does that work? Like we use the mic and earpiece here?"

"Yes," Duo said. "And the documents are automatically coded into what we can understand. And back to them, when we send things back. That is a fairly universal system, at least with the planets and stars we know of. It probably wouldn't work with Hydro."

Heero nodded, knowing they didn't have that kind of technology. "You must think of Hydro as a fairly simple place then. It doesn't have anything close to what Leo alone has."

"No, it doesn't," Duo agreed. "But it's not a simple place." Duo looked up at Heero. "It was the place that brought you up, and the place that sent you out to space where I could meet you."

Heero nodded and Quatre entered then, so Duo turned back to the documents. He listened to Quatre and Duo discuss timelines and access ports, security and safety. When Quatre mentioned money, he perked up again.

"How does it work?" he asked. "Is there a central bank? Or some method in which the money is exchanged, or used? What does Adua's currency look like; what is it called? How do you have any of it, being on Leo like this?"

"Slow down," Duo laughed. "I think you're almost worse than Quatre with your questions!" He turned, narrowing his eyes at Quatre. "You haven't been putting him through that program have you? Like you did to me, to help me remember more things?"

"No!" Quatre laughed. "Heero doesn't need it like you do!"

Duo hit Quatre playfully and Quatre dodged, then turned to Heero to answer the question. "Every place is different. We do have a currency of our own, and a sizeable sum is earned every time Duo turns in some sort of technological advancement. Like the holograms, for example. It was how Duo worked to obtain Leo and the materials needed to build what he needed inside here."

Heero nodded; it sounded simple enough, almost like how humans conducted transactions.

"With other places," Duo cut in. "We can either trade technology, or there is generally some sort of transfer amount to be used. It was all established by whoever arrived at the place first. Some places want your technology, your food, something to trade. Some places do the money exchange. Some places..." his expression darkened. "Places like Zepra, will want you, until they're done playing with you."

"Some places also just like to learn about our travels and such," Quatre said.

"Yea, Quatre can preach about places for half of a rotation and still have a very rapt audience. He helps them to create their database and for that, they will trade things."

"I see," Heero mused. "That's interesting. But...I have nothing to offer them. How would I get around? I doubt they'd want to hear much about Hydro; it pales in comparison to the places you've been, or the places you are from."

"Don't worry," Duo said. "We'll figure something out. You may not think you have anything to offer, but every place is different. What does Zera want, to begin with?" he asked Quatre.

"It doesn't specify," Quatre reported. "So probably not much, or nothing that we wouldn't have to offer. Otherwise, it would be recorded, just so we know if we can afford to land there, or not."

Heero nodded again.

"All right!" Duo stood. "Done. We're pretty much set to land there soon. Let's go find Kohru and Shina."

Quatre left first to go to the lounge, and Heero grabbed a hold of Duo's hand, stopping his other from leaving the control center too quickly.

"Do you know what you will say to them?" he asked softly.

"I think so," Duo said. "We just have to establish our differences, right? Make it so that there can't be any mistake?"

"We have to try not to lose our temper," Heero added. "If we do, nothing will be resolved. We have to keep in mind that...the both of us physically desire them too, and it's not just Shina. We need to be like Kohru."

"I'll try my best," Duo promised.

They exited the control center intending to head down to the second level.

As they turned the corner though, Shina ran right into Heero. Heero fell, Shina landing on top of him.

"Heero!" Duo pushed Shina off of Heero. "Are you hurt?"

"No, I'm fine," Heero assured Duo.

Shina pulled at Heero. "Help!"

"Shina!"

They looked up to see Kohru, eyes light with anger and another emotion. "Just a little, Shina, come on," he pleaded.

"No!" Shina said. "Heero, you have to help me!"

"What is going on?" Duo said loudly, helping Heero up off the floor.

Shina glared at Kohru. "He wants to cut my hair!"

"What?!" Duo and Heero gaped at Kohru.

Shina glared. "You know why!" he shot back.

"Kohru, an Arian's hair is his pride. A trophy of an honest life!" Duo said.

"Shina isn't a full Arian!" Kohru said. "Neither of us are!"

"But if Shina doesn't want to cut his hair, you shouldn't force him," Heero said.

Kohru glared. "The only reason he won't is just so he can continue to look like Duo! It's bad enough that he has Duo's memories!"

"I never said that!" Shina yelled. "What's wrong with not wanting my hair cut? That doesn't have to be the reason. It doesn't even have anything to do with it!"

"Yes it does!" Kohru insisted. "You want Heero! Heero wants you too! And the first step to making that stop is to make you change physically, so he won't desire you when he sees you!"

"I never said I wanted Heero!" Shina protested.

"And I never said I wanted Shina," Heero muttered, feeling Duo's arm tighten around him.

"You didn't say it to my face," Kohru looked away. "But you called his name right when you gained release."

For a moment, they gawked at Kohru.

"Shina!" Duo snapped. "Heero is mine!"

Shina stared at Kohru. "I didn't!"

"You did! And you were too far gone to notice it." Shina crossed his arms in a defensive gesture, scissors gleaming in his hand.

"I didn't..." Shina trailed off, glancing between Kohru and Heero.

Kohru glared at Heero. "This is all your fault," he whispered. "You didn't give me your complete memories. That's why Shina doesn't like me the way he likes you. That's why he feels like I'm missing something."

Heero opened his mouth, but he didn't know what to say. Hadn't he been trying to protect Kohru by not giving him all of his memories, especially from thinking that his other hated him?

"Kohru, Heero had very good reason to keep those memories to himself," Duo said. Shina nodded as well; both of them knew of the situation and neither of them spoke about it.

"Kohru," Shina whispered. "You've got it all wrong."

Kohru shook his head at Shina. His eyes flickered between shades, showing his struggle with his emotions, and he stepped back when Shina took a step forward.

Throwing the scissors down, he turned and ran down the hall, speaking the command to open the door to the back room.

"Kohru!" Shina gave chase, only to find the door slammed shut in his face, commands jumpered for the moment. He banged on the door. "Kohru!"

Duo's hands were working at the doors, opening the sub panel and typing in controls to override what Kohru did. He hadn't been able to make it impossible to jumper the panels, but he did find a way to reverse the effect quickly. The door opened and Shina ran in to see Kohru at one of the computers.

With a final tap, Kohru looked up at the three, not moving as Shina came towards him.

"You did this to me, to us, Heero Yuy," he whispered.

"Kohru!" Shina reached forward for his other, suddenly feeling desperate.

His hands closed around thin air as Kohru faded from his touch...

And then from their sight.
