Shinii's POV
Heero is leaving for a mission. My master is watching him pack. I, myself feel a little lost. I cannot be in two places at once. Well I could, but playing with time is always a bad idea. Besides, no one is to know where I'm at. If I play with time then they will find me. But Demons know where to find my master, so they know I'm here. Oh I'm so confused. I wish my master had his powers back. Things would be easier.
"You should rest you have a test in the morning." Heero says as he puts extra clips into his bag. I wonder where they get those things. I mean really, who would sell a bunch of teenagers weapons? On second thought humans are just plain weird. They do the strangest things.
"So do you." My master sounds a bit angry. "We weren't suppose to have any mission for awhile." He looks right at me. I get the feeling he has a bad feeling. "What's J up to? And why only you?" Defiantly worried.
"There's no need for more than one. And J is fighting a war."
"Yeah and we're the pawns." My master mumbled. I wonder if Heero heard him? "You be careful Heero. I have a bad feeling about this sudden mission."
"Hn." That was all Heero said as he walked out the door. They use to kiss when one left. I don't like this. I want things back the way they were.
"I don't know about you Shinii, but I wish I was goin' with him." My master sits on his bed and falls backwards. I agree with him.
Duo's POV
The next day I go to class and the teacher asks me where Heero is. I hate school, I hate teacher too. Okay so I never tell a lie. So how to get out of this? Thankfully Trowa walks up and says that Heero had a family emergency and would be gone for a day or two. The teacher bought it.
As class started I noticed that Shinii was sitting on the teacher's desk. Swinging her legs and acting all cute and innocent. The teacher made a comment about our poor papers we had turned in a week ago. She even went so far as to say that my paper was the worst. Shinii stuck her tongue out at the teacher. Too bad it made me laugh and I was sent to the office.
"Thanks Shinii." I tell her on the way. "You're a lot of trouble you know that. Playing golf with demons, makin' faces at the teachers." I sit down in the office and huff. Shinii looks at me with big red puppy dog eyes. Which on a normal person would be freaky but on her its cute and I can't help but give in. "Sorry."
"Excuse me?" The principal looks down at me.
"Um nothing." I squeak.
"Mr. Maxwell is it? You were sent here for a reason?"
"I laughed in class."
"Why?"
"Um something funny struck me." That is not a lie, Shinii was funny.
"I see. You're to stay here and work on you're class work until the end of the period."
"That's it?" How'd I get off so easy?
"Your first offense." That explains it.
I sat down at a table in a small study room. And started doing some assignments. I had closed the door most of the way. The office can be noisy sometimes. Shinii sat on the table and watched me.
"What is that?"
I jumped and almost screamed at the soft voice. "You can TALK!" I look at Shinii in astonishment.
She giggles. "Of course."
"Why..."
"I did not want to, wasn't supposed to either. But you can see me against my wishes so there's not much I can do."
"Oh, wow, cool"
"So what is that?"
"Math, something I use when I pilot my gundam."
"Really? It's the Deathscythe Right?"
"Yeah how'd you know?"
"I know lots of things. Especially when my master is involved."
"Hey, why do you call me that? I mean its kind of weird and everything."
"You must remember."
"How come you sometimes remind me of Heero?"
"I do not know."
"Mr. Maxwell?" The principal walks in with a worried look.
"Um...yes?"
"Who are you talking to?"
"No one."
By the time the next class came by I was still in with the school counselor who wanted to know all about my imaginary friend. He thinks I'm crazy. I think he may be right. But, hey, I got out of the test.
