Him to Die Part 5

Duo glared at him over the gag and Heero snapped the pictures quickly, wondering if Duo was going to beat the crap out of him once they finished here.

He'd deserve it- he admitted to himself that he hadn't quite thought things through before acting, but... it had been more than worth it... Even if Duo kicked his ass for it.

At least Duo wasn't looking panicked anymore- not that it had been very noticeable, but Heero had heard the tremor in his voice, the way the words had come too fast- the slight hesitation as he'd submitted to the restraints. He'd wanted to do something to get Duo's mind off of it, and when Duo had made that confession... well, Heero must've gone temporarily insane.

Not that he hadn't thought about doing that to Duo before... he'd just never thought he'd really have a chance to even try...

He put the camera down and moved quickly, freeing Duo's wrists and arms, leaving the gag for Duo himself to remove. "Finished. I'll put the pictures into the system so you can see if there's a way to trace where we send them-"

Before he could finish, he found himself flat on the floor, Duo leaning over him, frowning.

Heero tensed, waiting for the punch he was sure Duo was about to give him.

Instead, Duo twined his fingers in Heero's t-shirt and lowered his mouth onto Heero's. Surprise coursed through him, followed by the urge to pull Duo even closer... he opened his lips and heard Duo make an approving noise as the kiss deepened.

Apparently Duo wasn't upset about the earlier kiss...

"I'm holding you to that promise of fun when we finish sending these photos off," Duo growled against Heero's mouth.

"Anything you want."

Duo's eyebrows arched up a little. "Oh, I think I want quite a few things. But... business first." Duo got to his feet, snagging the camera on the way. "Let's see what I can do with these."

Heero followed him back out towards the console, and after showing Duo how the information got sent to the clients, he turned his attention to the files Duo had marked.

Making notes of his own, he went through each file, searching for someone who might have been upset enough with Duo to want to kill him. There weren't many- as Duo himself had said- most of his work seemed to be small time- nothing major. Nothing that would leave someone hungering for revenge...

"I think I've got it," Duo said, interrupting his thoughts. "Are we still in the time line?"

"Yes. Ready to send?" Heero put the laptop to the side and joined Duo at the console. "What did you do?"

"I didn't attach anything to the files. I didn't want to tip them off. I set up an alternative route for a trace- shouldn't even arrive in their inbox, but it hopefully will bounce back some information to us." Duo smiled a little and crossed his fingers. "If all goes like it should. It will take a bit- it has to travel slower- so we can't expect anything right away."

"Let's send the pictures first- and delay the trace a little after?"

"That was my plan." Duo's fingers flew over the keyboard. "Okay, pictures sent. How long should we wait to send the trace?"

"Quarter hour or so?"

"Agreed." Duo pushed his chair back and grinned. "Whatever shall we do with ourselves for that long?"

Heero hid a smirk. "I was looking at the files you marked. We could-"

"No."

"Make breakfast?"

"No."

"Take a look at the current terrorist-"

"No." Duo repeated, his eyes narrowing. "I was promised something fun... " He reached out and pulled Heero down to his lap. "And after being kidnapped, having my life threatened and getting tied up- not to mention all the comp work..." His lips hovered over Heero's. "I think I need a little fun. Don't you agree?"
