Daystar's Prophecy Part 11
When Duo finally awoke the next morning, he felt like he had been trampled by a clan of trolls. Moaning softly, he fought down the last remnants of sleep and rolled over onto his back, forcing his aching muscles and joints to move despite their protest. His first conscience thought as he came fully wake was that he was lying on a bed and opening his eyes he confirmed it at seeing the headboard above him. However, he could not remember how he managed to end up there as his mind swirled chaotically with vague images and flashes of memories. Closing his eyes again and concentrating on slowing his breathing, which had escalated when he realized he did not know where he was, he allowed his mind to calm before searching out his most recent memory. Feelings of a kiss and soft touches caused his eyes to open wide as a deep blush spread across his cheeks but it brought a smile also, remembering the way Heero had held him close as he drifted to sleep. He turned his head and looked toward the other side of the bed, hoping to see the dark-haired boy but discovered he was alone. For a moment, his heart twisted painfully at the thought that Heero might actually be angry with him for freezing up the night before, but quickly stomped the thought down, reminding himself of the reassuring words the blue-eyed boy had spoken to him.
Once again forcing his sore body to move, he crawling out of the bed and walked toward the wardrobe on the opposite wall knowing he would find it full of clean clothes. As soon as he managed to organize his thoughts, he instantly recognized the room as the one that Howard had given him within the dwarf's stronghold and as such, he kept it much the same as his room at the palace in Shantari. He wondered though, how had they made it to Howard's or more specifically, how long had he been asleep. Determined to find some answers but deciding that a bath would not take too long, he opened the wardrobe. However, his stomach chose that moment to inform him that it had been quite some time since he had last eaten. Sighing heavily, he knew that the bath would have to wait until later that evening since food was a much more important matter.
Taking out a pair of soft black pants and a deep purple vest, he returned to the bed and laid them down before beginning to undo the laces of the vest he was wearing. For a fairy, changing clothes can be quite a hassle depending on whether or not their wings decide to cooperate. All fairy clothing must be specifically made with the hole cut in the back to fit their wings exactly plus an extra flap of fabric that, when buttoned down, rested between the wings to protect the sensitive skin of the fairy's spine. The edges of the fabric must then be carefully padded so they are soft and therefore will not chaff the base of the wing where it attached at the shoulder blade.
Feeling slightly guilty at putting on clean clothes without bathing first, Duo shrugged his vest off before picking up the clean one and carefully threading his wings through the open hole; pulling the garment up his arms while making sure his wings slide through as well. Once it was situated on his shoulders, he quickly laced it up and buttoned the flap before removing his dirty pants and putting on the clean ones. Pulling his hair over his shoulder, he removed the tie from the end and quickly unraveled the tattered braid before running his fingers through it until the majority of the tangles were gone then quickly rebraided and tied it again. Finally carrying the dirty clothes to a basket near the door just for that purpose, he noticed his boots sitting next to it, but the thought of lacing them up made him cringe, so opting to go barefoot, he opened the door and headed down the hallway.
Walking through the stronghold, Duo was feeling more like his old self than he had in a very long time as he smiled and chatted with the dwarves he passed in the hallways; laughing happily as he did so. The dwarves in turn were relieved and overjoyed that the small fairy seemed to have not suffered any ill effect from his latest encounter with the council. Finally arriving at the cafeteria, the braided fairy was ecstatic to see that they had fresh fruit waiting for him and quickly filled a plate with several servings of the sliced, cubed, and whole offerings. Then stopping to grab a couple pieces of bread and cheese, he turned and looked around the mostly empty room. Since dwarves were usually out of bed before dawn, the breakfast crowd had already come and gone leaving the longhaired boy scowling at realizing he had allowed his sleep patterns to be changed and would now have to work to straighten them out. As he was condemning himself for his slip, he noticed a touch of blonde out the corner of his eye and turned his head to see Quatre and Hilde sitting at a table on the far side of the room. Smiling brightly, he headed in their direction.
"Morning guys." he chirped happily, as he sat down in one of the two available chairs. Both Quatre and Hilde, who had been so absorbed in their conversation they had failed to notice the braided fairy entering the room, started violently and turned wide, guilty eyes toward the violet-eyed boy. "What?"
"Nothing, Duo." Hilde soothed, laughing softly at the perplexed look on the boy's face. "How're you feeling?"
"Better. I think." Duo answered thoughtfully while chewing on an apple slice. "Not sure how we got to Howie's though. How long was I asleep?"
"A week." Quatre supplied then quickly thumped the boy on the back when he began to choke on the bite of fruit he had taken.
"A week?!" Duo exclaimed, his eyes wide with disbelief. "He made me sleep for a week? He's never made me sleep that long before."
"He didn't have any other choice. The council left the stone active and it was the only way to keep you safe until it could be removed." Hilde explained. For one haunting second, the words floated in silence before they finally registered in Duo's mind then without thinking, his hand reached to the back of his neck and his already widened eyes grew even wider.
"It's gone." he breathed, his emotions going into overload as he tried to decide whether to dance with pure joy or cry with unadulterated relief.
"Yes, Duo, it's gone." Hilde said, a smile on her face as she reached out to cover one of the small fairy's hands having seen the hint of tears in his eyes. With his friend's reassuring touch, he was able to blink back the tears and a brilliant smile lit his face before he began bolting his food down as quickly as he could.
"Easy, Duo. Whatever it is, it'll still be there when you're done so you do have time to chew." Hilde admonished but the laughter in her voice took the edge off her words.
"Are you kidding, this is the first time in my life that I remember when I could do anything I wanted and I'm gonna take full advantage." Duo said quickly before returning to his plate.
"Just don't choke and end it before it's even started." she laughed happily at seeing him so energized.
In the meantime, Quatre had been enjoying the exchange between the two friends greatly and was happy seeing the small boy look so enthusiastic. However, something had caught his attention early on in the conversation that he doubted Hilde had noticed since she was sitting on the wrong side of the table to see, but from his angle, it was hard to miss.
"Duo," he asked with a knowing smile and his eyes twinkling with mischief. "what's that mark on your neck?"
"Huh?" the fairy looked up at him with confusion written all over his face, his food momentarily forgotten at the sudden question.
"Your neck, there's a mark right here." the blonde explained, pointing to a place on his own neck for emphasis. Wrinkling his forehead in confusion, Duo tried to think what the boy was asking when a sudden memory of Heero's mouth in about that same area came to mind causing him to blush a deep crimson. By that time, Hilde's curiosity had her walking around the table to see for herself what the blonde was making such a big deal over. As soon as she saw the small bruise on Duo's pale skin she could have guessed where it had come from, but the instant he blushed, she needed no further proof.
"So," she began, keeping her voice casual. "where exactly did Heero sleep last night?"
Blushing even darker, the fairy ducked his head, reached for his braid, and began fidgeting with the end as he glanced at them through his long bangs.
"Nothing happened." he said softly, shocking both of them by his suddenly meek tone. He had been so excited just a second ago and now he was acting like a little boy expecting to be punished for doing something wrong. "I mean, something did, but it wasn't..."
"It's ok, Duo." she soothed as she knelt down beside him, she had not realized her teasing would bother him so severely.
"Then you're not mad? You don't think it's wrong?" he asked hopefully and the sound nearly broke her heart.
"Of course not. Why would you think that?" Hilde asked, thoroughly confused by his sudden change in mood. In her mind, anything that made the violet-eyed fairy happy was more than all right with her and she would fight anyone who said otherwise.
"Of course it's not wrong, Duo." Quatre said, with a blush of his own. "You should know by now that Trowa and I are together."
"Yeah." Duo smiled slightly but still with a nervous edge. "I had been meaning to ask you about that."
"Duo, why would you think I wouldn't approve?" Hilde asked softly, a sinking feeling in her stomach as an idea began to form.
"Well, I mean, I'm a fairy and fairies aren't supposed to do that or..." Reaching out, the blue-eyed elf grabbed both of Duo's hands where they were worrying his braid and brought them to her lips.
"I'm so sorry." she whispered against his knuckles. "We never meant to make you think that way, that you weren't allowed to do or be who you wanted to."
When she looked up at him, Duo was shocked to find tears in the elf's eyes as her words ran through his mind. 'What's she talking about?' he thought 'They didn't make me think that way. It's just the way things are, aren't they?'
"Duo." Hilde's words cut through his thoughts and brought him back to find her now standing beside him. "It's your life and you should live it how you want and neither Solo nor I have any right to interfere in the choices you make. I think it's about time my husband and I had a nice long talk. I know he's not going to like it, but it's time for things to change, I won't have you feeling guilty for something that should make you happy."
With that, she turned and walked from the cafeteria without looking back. Duo, who was already upset for making one of his best friends cry, now felt even worse for causing what he knew would be a very big fight between her and Solo.
"It's not your fault, Duo. I have a feeling this has been coming for quite awhile now." Quatre said softly causing the braided boy to look at him questioningly. "This disagreement between them has been going on for some time it appears and is just now reached its breaking point. Besides, she's right, they don't have any right trying to live you're life for you or telling you what you can or can't do."
"Yeah, maybe." Duo said as he picked up his plate and stood, no longer very hungry. "I'd better go check in with Howie; he'll get upset if I don't. See ya later, Quat."
With that, he returned his plate before leaving the cafeteria as he headed toward the recreation area where he was sure to find the dwarf at that time of day. Unlike earlier though, his steps were more subdued as he thought about everything Hilde had said and he was not paying much attention to his surroundings, so when he turned the corner for the hall where the rec rooms were located he was not prepared for the much larger body that was also coming around the corner. With a startled cry, he stumbled backwards in surprise at which his still weakened leg muscles immediately protested and he could feel them giving out underneath him. Knowing he could do nothing except brace for the impact, he closed his eyes and hoped he would not hurt anything too badly. However, just as the thought crossed his mind, he felt his downward movement stopped as two strong arms wrapped around his waist. Opening his eyes, he looked up into twinkling green ones and smiled gratefully at his best friend before securing his legs under himself again and pulling away.
"Morning Solo." Duo greeted with a small smile.
"Morning Duo." the elf returned, his amusement at the fairy's misfortune showing in his voice. "Sleep well?"
"Yeah, thank you very much." he glared, as he suddenly remembered he had a very good reason to be angry at the elf. "And I vaguely recall someone telling me I could kick his ass for it too when I woke up."
"Now, let's not get too hasty here." Solo back peddled with his hands in the air. "You can't possibly hold me accountable for something I said in the heat of the moment, can you?"
"You bet your ass I can so don't even give me that bullshit." Duo stated. "I remember telling you the last time you used that spell on me without asking that I was gonna knock your head off if you did it again."
"That you did, little bit." Solo laughed loudly. "That you did."
"And don't call me that." the fairy scowled, crossing his arms over his chest.
"But it fits you so well." the elf said, still laughing as he ruffled Duo's bangs earning him another glare. "So, what are you up to?"
"I'm headed to see Howie and say hi, since I wasn't able to when we got here." Duo answered with a glare. "Then I thought I'd go find the rest of the guys, see what they're doing."
"The guys?" Solo asked, his brows drawing down into a frown.
"Heero, Tro, and Fei. I already talked to Quat in the cafeteria but I forgot to ask him about the others. Shouldn't be too hard to find them around here though, three humans in a bunch of dwarves; they should stand out like sore thumbs." Duo answered with a wide grin.
"Heero, huh?" the elf asked, trying to keep his voice neutral but the violet-eyed fairy could hear the distain and he felt his heart clinch as he remembered what Hilde had said. He would not let himself believe though, Solo was his brother, he would never do anything to hurt him.
"Yeah, you know. Dark hair, blue eyes, glares a lot." Duo said jokingly, acting as his usual self.
"I know who he is, Duo." Solo said flatly, instantly cutting through the fairy's mask and sending him on the defense.
"Then why ask, huh?" the fairy returned, his eyes narrowing slightly. "What's this whole damn mistrust thing, and don't say it's not 'cause I can see it in your eyes."
"I just don't like him, Duo. I don't like the way he looks at you." he answered and Duo could practically feel the tension emanating from the body in front of him.
"Why?" he cried, exasperation filling his voice. "I thought we already covered this and they proved they weren't gonna hurt me."
"Oh really, then where the hell did you get this." Solo said and touched the mark on Duo's neck, which unfortunately, had slip his mind following Hilde's revelation. Blushing yet again, he pulled away from the elf's touch and back up a couple of steps. At seeing the fairy blush, Solo's face darkened dangerously. "He did it didn't he, he touched you. I'll wring that little runt's neck."
"No you won't, Solo." Duo stated, feeling his own anger grow as he realized that what Hilde said might actually be true. "I won't let you."
"No one touches you, Duo." the elf snarled as his hands fisted at his sides while visions of what he was going to do to the human ran through his mind.
"And what if I wanted him to?" the violet-eyed boy said and took a step closer to the tall elf, his eyes narrowed dangerously as he dared the elf to answer him. "What if I wanted him to touch me and what if I want him to do it again?"
"Want him to? That's not possible." Solo scoffed, but inside he had to make a concerted effort not to grab the small boy, drag him back to his room, and lock him in until he started making sense.
"Why not? It's my choice, isn't it?" Duo said and took another step forward, which put him only six inches away from the elf.
"Your choice; yes. But you have to actually know what it is to want it, little bit." the elf suddenly laughed, realizing he had found the perfect answer. "And as long as I'm around, that's just not happening."
"You know, I'm getting damn tired of you treating me like a child." Duo shouted, the anger he had been holding finally boiling to the surface. He had spent nearly his whole life being controlled by the council and now that the stone was out, he was not allowing someone else to take their place.
"Tell you what, when you stop acting like one, I'll stop treating you like one." Solo retorted smugly. He did not even see Duo's fist before it connected with his jaw and by the time he turned his head back around, the fairy was already running back the way he had come. "Dammit." he cursed, his hand massaging his jaw as he started after the braided boy. However, before he could take a step, a meaty hand stopped him and he looked over his shoulder to meet Howard's very stern glare.
"Let him be." the dwarf commanded.
"You know how he gets when he's mad, Howie."
"Yes, I do and the last thing he needs is you making it worse." the dwarf growled. "That was the absolute stupidest thing I've ever seen you do. And that's saying a lot."
"Well, someone's got to set him straight." the elf huffed and crossed his arms over his chest.
"No, someone needs to set you straight. It's his life and he has every right to live it the way he wants. If that's with Heero, then so be it. You don't get a say in the matter unless he asks for it."
"Wrong. I haven't spent all this time protecting him just to let him throw his life away over some human. And if no one else is prepared to deal with it, then I'll do it myself." Solo said before stalking off.
"Idiot elf. All you're gonna do is end up pushing him away. You can't stop this, not anymore." Howard said even though he knew Solo could no longer hear him. Shaking his head sadly, he turned and returned to the room he had come from when he had heard the two arguing.

'I will not cry. I will not cry. I will not cry.' Duo chanted to himself as he ran through the stronghold, passing several dwarves who called out to him but the rush of blood in his ears drowned out their voices. Never in their lives had their arguments come to blows, sure, they had their share of fights as most siblings do, but they had always managed to work through them without resorting to physical violence. This time though, Hilde's words coupled with his already scattered emotions where Heero was concerned had proven too much for him to take and when Solo had acted so flippant and superior about it all, he had reacted without thinking. Then, when the realization of what he had done set in, he felt the tears gathering as his throat tightened painfully and he knew he needed to find a place to think, a place far away from the green-eyed elf before more things were done or said and he lost his first and best friend; maybe forever.
********************
"Was that Duo?" Trowa asked suddenly as the three boys where taking a break from their practice causing Heero to jerk in the direction the tall brunette was looking. When he had awoken that morning, the longhaired fairy was still sleeping peacefully and much like the first time he had found himself in that position; he spent a short while just enjoying the feel of the boy in his arms. However, knowing he could not stay abed all morning and not wanting to wake the small fairy; he had carefully released the slight form and slipped from the bed. Once in the hallway, he had made his way to the cafeteria thinking to find some breakfast, which he had along with both Trowa and Wufei who were planning to check out the practice area they had seen the day before during their arrival. Having nothing better to do, he decided to join them.
When they arrived at the practice area, it was already quite busy as several dwarves were once again battling each other with swords. At seeing the boys watching from just outside the area, one of the dwarves had approached and asked if they wanted to join in. When he learned that only one of them was capable of handling a sword, he offered to instruct Heero and Trowa in the basics while his companion offered to practice with the Chinese youth. Therefore, they had sent the next several hours engaged in mock sword fights and had only just now decided to take a much-needed rest.
"Where?" Wufei asked as he too turned to look for the longhaired boy.
"If it was him, he just ran into the stables." Trowa answered; still not quite sure if it was Duo as he had only seen a glimpse from the corner of his eye.
"Why would he be going to the stables?" Wufei asked.
"Hn. I'll go find out." Heero said, leaving before either of the two boys could question him. He had wanted to see the violet-eyed beauty all morning anyways.
********************
When he finally stopped running, it was not really a conscience choice as his legs simply gave out; dropping him in a bed of soft straw. Pushing himself up and rolling over until he was in a seated position, he finally looked around and realized he had run all the way to the stables. Feeling quite stunned that he had run all the way there without knowing, he simply sat and stared at the wall opposite him for a long moment.
"Figures." He finally mumbled to himself. "I get into a fight with the only person I've ever considered my brother and I'd rather get comfort from animals than people."
/We're not so bad at giving comfort, Seeker./ a voice said, startling him out of his state of self-pity.
"Malikai? You made it, too?" Duo said, feeling a sense of relief at knowing the horse had not been left behind in Shantari when they escaped.
/Yes, as well as Lindar and Triton./ Malikai confirmed.
"Good, I'm glad you're all safe."
/We were happy to help in your escape. Now, perhaps I can help again. Would you like to tell me why you're here and not with your friends?/
"I had a fight with Solo and I needed to get away before things got worse. I'm not quite sure how I ended up here though." he confessed miserably as he scooted back until he was leaning against the wooden wall. Drawing his knees up to his chest, he wrapped his arms around them before resting his chin on top.
/Might I inquire as to what the fight was about?/ the horse questioned softly, sensing a deep pain as well as confusion coming from the small figure sitting across from him.
"Heero." Duo said with a sigh and closed his eyes. The blue-eyed boy who had just arrived at the stables felt his heart rate increase as an electric shock tore through his system at the breathy sound of his name spoken by the angelic creature sitting on the floor. However, once the initial sensations began to dull, he was able to register the underlying sadness in the fairy's voice that quickly brought him crashing down.
/Ah, your mate./ Malikai said, a hint of amusement playing in his voice.
"No!" Duo exclaimed, his eyes snapping open and his head coming up to look directly at the horse. Then his mind began to churn and his brows furrowed in confusion as he thought back over the events that had transpired since he awoke the night before. "Well, maybe. I mean, he could be. Oh hell, I don't know!" the fairy wailed and buried his face in his hands. "I'm so damn confused by all this; I don't know what to think."
At first, Heero was alarmed by the boy's outburst until a soft whinnying to the side and out of his line of sight caught his hearing. Realizing that Duo was actually talking to one of the horses and speaking aloud without knowing, the boy relaxed. A niggling of guilt at the fact that he was eavesdropping on the longhaired fairy's conversation tugged at his mind, but he quickly pushed it away.
/I saw and sensed his protectiveness toward you during the trip from Shantari. It was not hard to see that he cares for you. Are you saying you don't have feelings for him as well?/ the horse questioned.
"I don't really know. I mean, I know I feel something, but it's nothing I've ever felt before and I don't know how to figure it out. This just isn't something fairies do, you know; take mates. Plus, with Heero being a boy too it further complicates things and now Solo's acting like an ass so I can't even ask him about it." Duo sighed and dropped his head back down onto his knees. "I just wish I knew how Heero really felt. Maybe then I could figure myself out."
That final, whispered confession shot through Heero. He thought he had made it plain enough the night before what his intention were but those last words made it painfully clear that somehow he had done something wrong. Knowing he could not lose the beautiful fairy he was rapidly falling in love with and no longer able to stand seeing him so sad, he stepped around the corner he had been hiding behind. The soft falls of his steps could be heard clearly in the complete silence of the stables and Duo's head immediately snapped up to see him standing no more than ten feet away.
"He... Heero." Duo squeaked as he sprang to his feet, pieces of straw clinging to his braid and clothes. "How... how long have you been there?"
"For a little while." Heero confessed guiltily, as he crossed the distance between them.
"So you heard, huh." the fairy blushed and looked away, not able to look at the boy who had turned his life upside down and was more than likely about to tear it apart.
Stopping once there was only a few inches separating them; Heero put his fingers under the braided boy's chin and brought his eyes back up. At the sight of resignation in those violet depths, he could feel his heart nearly tearing itself out of his chest.
"It's ok, Duo." he reassured him as best he could. "I promise, we'll figure it out together."
At Heero softly spoken words, the small fairy felt something inside of him release and he flung himself into the other boy's arms; closing his own around the boy's waist tightly and burying his face in the boy's shoulder. Closing his eyes, Heero also brought his arms around the small boy tightly. Just before Duo had moved forward, he had seen the hope and relief wash the resignation from his eyes and while there was still sadness there, Heero had a feeling it was not because of him. Gently, he began stroking his right hand over the fairy's wings; relieved when the boy almost instantly relaxed at his touch.
"Now," he began softly while still rubbing his hand over the wings. "you want to tell me what started all this?"
"Solo." Duo said softly, his voice muffled by Heero's shoulder. Turning his head slightly so his ear was now pressed to the boy, he continued. "He wasn't too happy when he found out about... well, us."
"Did he say something?" Heero asked, trying to keep the anger from his voice at the thought of the elf upsetting Duo like this.
"He said a whole lot of things." Duo snorted. "And then we got into a big argument and I... hit him. I've never hit him before, Heero."
The sound of anguish in the fairy's voice tore at Heero's heart and he tightened his arms around the boy as Duo bit his lip to hold back the tears. Burying his nose in the fairy's hair, the dark-haired boy continued stroking the boy's wings as he tried to comfort him. "Shh, it's going to be alright, Duo."
"How do you know?" the boy sniffed quietly.
"Because he's your brother. It might take some time but the two of you will eventually work it out." Heero stated simply causing Duo to lean back and look up at him. After a moment, a soft smile spread across the boy's lips and leaning up, he gently pressed a kiss to Heero's lips lasting for only a second before he pulled back.
"Thank you." he whispered, the smile still present.
Stunned at the fairy's actions, Heero found he could not speak as he continued to stare into those beautiful eyes that seemed to hold his very soul. Slowly, his right hand came up and cupped the boy's cheek as his thumb lightly grazed over those pedal soft lips; drawing an equally soft gasp from the fairy. Seeing those lips now parted slightly caused Heero to groan as he slid his hand around to cup the back of Duo's head, tangling in the base of the braid, while his other hand traveled down to the small of the boy's back to draw their bodies together. Then, lowering his head slowly until he was just barely touching those sweet lips, he brushed a soft kiss across them. Once more, he brushed across Duo's lips and he could feel the boy begin to respond as hands clenched in the fabric of his shirt and the smaller body instinctively pressed even closer. Finally giving in, he pressed their lips together firmly and found himself moaning loudly when Duo immediately opened for him. Deciding that the second time was indeed better than the first, Heero allowed himself to explore the inside of Duo's mouth fully; swallow each little moan his ministrations caused as he memorized which areas brought the best reactions. Switching tactics finally, he began to rub against the fairy's tongue, trying to coax him into doing his own exploring.
Duo could not believe how incredible it felt to kiss the dark-haired boy. When Heero touched certain places inside his mouth, it sent shockwaves of pleasure through his body making him feel light-headed and then Heero was stroking and teasing his tongue while trying to temp him into following. Tentatively, he allowed himself to slide inside the other boy's mouth, flicking cautiously over teeth and palate before becoming bolder as his confidence increased and he allowed himself to savor the taste that was all Heero. However, even with his mind occupied as it was, he could still feel the movement of Heero's hands on his body as one finally managed to work its way under his vest and slid up the warm skin of his back, wringing a deep moan from him at the simple contact as it ignited the fire in his blood. Bringing his arms up, he wrapped them around the boy's neck while sinking his right hand deep into those chocolate brown locks and pulling the boy even closer as he suddenly could not get enough of the blue-eyed boy.
Somewhere in Heero's mind, he knew he should pull back, that going any further would not be a good idea right now, and Duo would more than likely regret it later. However, the intensity of Duo's passion was beginning to consume him and he knew it would not be long before they were laid out on the straw with little or no clothes. Already, both his hands were beneath the vest, pushing it up, as he massaged at the boy's back and ribs; drawing louder and deeper moans from that sweet throat. Running his right hand along the boy's velvety soft skin, he stopped when he reached the waistband of his pants and teased along the edge for a moment, allowing one finger to dip inside before pulling out and sliding lower. Suddenly, a sharp whinnying in his right ear caused him to start and jerk away from the fairy, finally breaking the kiss. Snapping his head toward the sound, he glared darkly at the horse who was tossing his head sharply at the pair.
"Heero?" Duo questioned breathlessly and when Heero looked back at the violet-eyed beauty, he nearly forgot about the horse and picked up where they had stopped. Duo's heavy-lidded eyes were glazed and his slightly parted lips were moist and swollen from the kiss. Reflexively contracting his grip at the vision before him, he became acutely aware of the exact position of his hands with his left hand still resting against the damp skin of the boy's back while his right had just reached the upper swell of the fairy's pert little bottom. Most notably though was the distinct hardness he could feel pressing into his thigh, which echoed the one currently aching for attention within his own, too tight pants. As if sensing his inner conflict, Malikai gave another loud whinny and this time, the sound reached through Duo's passion fogged mind causing his eyes to snap open and a blush to spread across his cheeks as he registered exactly where they where before he buried his face in Heero's shoulder to hide his embarrassment. "Oh gods."
Turning once again to glare at the horse, Heero quickly pulled the braided fairy's vest back down then wrapped an arm around his waist before guiding him toward the exit. Looking back over his shoulder, the dark-haired boy sent one last glare at the interfering animal. "I think you've had enough of a show." he snarled and led the longhaired boy from the stables.
Just as they exited the door however, Duo heard Malikai whisper faintly in his mind, voice full of laughter. /Looks like you have your answer./ Smiling softly, he realized that perhaps the horse was right.
