Duo smiled at his family and close friends who were gathered together for the New Year celebration.
The guys were sitting on the floor in the living room playing monopoly, while the ladies were chatting in the dining room. The kids, with the aid of a broomstick, were trying to get the cat to come out from under the couch.
Heero wrapped his arms around Duo's waist from behind, whispering in his ear, "What're you thinking?"
As Duo leaned back comfortably, he sighed. "A couple of years ago, I didn't even believe that one day I would have my own family. And now, look at this..."
The two lovers enjoyed each other's warmth. "For two orphans that grew up not exactly normally... we did pretty good for ourselves, hn?"
Soft kisses were pressed on the braided head with a smile. "Yeah."
