Kaizoku no Shou Part 10
Heero smiled slightly as he slowly awoke. He felt Duo's warm body in his arms and hugged his koneko tighter to his chest like an oversized teddy bear. Only when he heard Duo's pained whimper did Heero freeze. The events of the past day came flooding back to his mind.
Heero quickly released Duo and moved back a bit to avoid further injuring him. "Gomen koi! I-I" Then it hit Heero that Duo was awake and smiling, if a little hesitantly. "Duo..."
The longhaired boy nodded slowly and closed the gap between them. He gently wrapped his arms around Heero's middle and carefully snuggled up to him. "It's ok. Just not so tight, ne?"
Heero nodded carefully wrapping his arms around Duo once again. "Duo, I'm... so sorry! If I had been there I could have-"
"Shhhh." Duo placed a finger over Heero's mouth. "I'm all right koi."
"But I failed you! If Wufei hadn't found you when he did..." Heero bowed his head trying to banish the thoughts of what could have happened to his Duo.
Duo cupped Heero's chin in his hand. "But Wufei did!" When Heero still would not meet his eyes Duo took another approach. "Did Wufei find me?"
"Yes."
"Is Muller roasting in the deepest pit of hell?"
"YES!"
"Am I lying in your arms?"
Finally Heero smiled. "Yes."
"Then that is all that matters." Duo kissed Heero's cheek and nuzzled his neck. "What is gone and past help, should be past grief! [1] There is nothing you can do to change the past, and no amount of beating yourself up will change what has happened!"
Heero stroked Duo's cheek and smiled slightly. "You're right... but-"
"Nope!" Duo grinned. "You said it! I'm right! I'm here, I'm safe!" Duo squeezed Heero's waist a bit. "And I'm hungry... WUUUUUU-CHAAAAN!"

Wufei was unsure weather to cringe or be happy at the sound of Duo's... shriek. He shrugged and rolled out of his bunk, conveniently located near the galley. He stopped off and loaded a tray full of food for both the captain and Duo before trekking off to see what the boy wanted.
He paused momentarily at the door before pushing it open. "You bellowed?"
Duo scrunched up his face in an adorable grin before spying the tray of food. "Oi! Wufei you read my mind!!!" He waved his arms wildly trying to reach the tray. Finally Wufei had pity on him and set it down on the table beside the bed. Duo snatched it from the table and settled it down on Heero's lap where they both had easy access to the meal.
Wufei grinned at Duo's enthusiasm, greatly relieved to see that he was behaving just like he always had. Wufei would have hated to see the boy retreat into himself because of Muller's actions.
It seemed he shouldn't have worried. Duo was currently teasing Heero with bits of fruit trapped between his lips, making the captain claim them with his own mouth before allowing Heero to eat them.
Deciding to leave before the pair got too involved, Wufei swiftly walked out of the cabin and silently closed the door behind him.

Duo twitched in excitement. He'd been confined to his bed for the past week. But that wasn't the worst part. It had been a week of not sleeping alone... however it had been a chaste week. And the tension was killing him.
Every night he fell asleep with his head on Heero's chest, and woke the next day curled up in those same strong arms. But any move he made to initiate a more physical activity got shot down.
Heero kept insisting that he needed to recover, and that Duo shouldn't push himself. Duo knew intellectually that Heero was right- that he shouldn't risk any more injury. But emotionally he really wanted to feel that connection to his koi. He wanted his dark haired lover to kiss away all his bad memories, and soothe his violated body with gentle touches.
If it didn't happen soon he was going to be very angry. And an angry Duo is not a thing to be messed with.
But they had finally reached Eleuthera, and Heero was preparing the small boat that would be their transport to the island. The braided boy wriggled with glee as he imagined a whole month alone with his koi on a private island. As Heero prepared the boat with the last of the items they would need Duo prepared his plans. Tonight he would seduce his lover.
~*~
Heero packed the last of the supplies in the boat and gave it a final once over. The island had plentiful food and shelter, so they only had to bring a very few other items.
Out of the corner of his eye Heero could see the positively lecherous look Duo was giving him. That was fine with him! Earlier today Quatre had finally told him that Duo was healthy enough to 'engage in more physical activities'.
He figured Duo had quite a bit to do with the diagnosis considering the fair blonde had been blushing uncontrollably as he said the words. Still, Quatre would not have said it id it hadn't been true. So that was one less worry on his mind.
Now he could begin to treat his koneko properly... as the delicious sex kitten he was. Heero ducked his head to hide his smile. Let the beautiful boy think that he was safe... on Eleuthera he'd find out just how much physical activity he could take.

Wufei watched the looks that his captain and Duo were surreptitiously sending each other. It was almost too funny. Duo obviously thought he'd have to accost Heero to get some action, while the captain was already planning on pinning the boy once they reached the pink sand beaches. It was really too funny.
But joy for his friends led him to more somber thoughts... like how he was going to tell them he would be staying on Andros. Wufei knew that everyone would protest his decision, but he had to do it. Watching Trowa and Quatre bask in their love was slowly killing him. And Heero finally finding his happiness was not making the lonely boy feel any better.
The Chinese boy slowly turned to walk back to the galley. He rubbed his temple and tried to think of a good excuse. There really was none.
Being the ship's cook was not a glamorous job, but everyone knew that he loved it. Wufei supposed he could claim to have fallen in love with someone on the island and wished to be with him or her... but the crew would insist on meeting the person. And he knew that even if he could convince some native of going along with it.... Something would end up going wrong.
The truthful approach was definitely out... the brilliant strategist was fresh out of ideas.
Wufei smiled at the picture Heero and Duo made in the small boat as Heero rowed them to shore. He shook his head ruefully at the way the longhaired boy practically drooled over the captain, and stifled a chuckle at how Heero was trying to showoff his strength to Duo by getting them to shore in record breaking time.
Their retreat would be an interesting one that was certain. Wufei was glad that he and the rest of the crew were continuing on to an island that was easily a few nautical miles away.

A pair of conspirators watched an oblivious Chinese man look out over the ocean. Emerald and cerulean eyes danced with mirth at the prospect of putting their well though out plan into action.
Little did the other man suspect that two of his closest friends were eyeing him up like a slow gazelle, and they were the ravenous lions.
