Disclaimer: I do not own Gundam Wing, nor do I own the characters. I have borrowed them here for some fun and creativity, and this is not for profit. I do, however, own the plot mentioned here, and any instances that you may find similar to real life events are purely a coincidence.

Notes: Not beta-read. This is a part of the babysiting adventures universe, inspired by Sharon's prompt "Babysitting adventures for uncles Heero, Duo, Trowa and Quatre. Wufei and Relena are the parents, of course". I should state now that the little drabbles in this universe will not be chronological at all!

Dress Up

The cartoon was boring that afternoon, but Duo was completely engrossed in the book of fairytales Relena had given him so he could tell stories to Leila. Heero was focused on some work papers, and neither of them were paying much attention to Leila.

She suddenly thought of a game she liked, and decided that she wanted to play it. And she didn't need her uncles to play it. So she got up from the carpet and wandered off.

Several minutes later, Duo was about to go find her when she reappeared. Duo stared and nudged Heero, and both of them watched as she pulled at her sleeves.

"Peeventors!" she said loudly. "No moving!"

Duo was the first to laugh, falling against Heero.

"No moving!" Leila stomped her foot, pulling at her sleeve again until they could see her hand. She pointed her fingers like an imaginary gun.

"Leila, baby," Duo gasped. "You..."

He couldn't tell whether it was his uniform or Heero's, but Leila had found a shirt and a jacket to put on. The buttons were done up wrong and the entire ensemble dwarfed her. He could see her ankles, and noticed that she'd taken off her pants as well.

Heero was chuckling too, and he obediently put up his hands. "Okay Agent Leila, no moving."

She tilted her head to the side. "What do I do now?"

"You put handcuffs on the bad people," Duo advised her.

"But you're not bad."

"Then why can't we move?"

She looked confused, and the two men laughed again. "Come here, baby, let me fix your shirt," Duo said.

She came closer. "It's heavy," she complained.

"Picture," Heero muttered, getting up and slipping from the living room to get the camera. He knew that Wufei and Relena would like this picture. Returning quickly, he guided Leila to a spot and took her picture. Then, Duo knelt and fixed up her buttons.

"Where did you get this?" he asked.

"Your closet."

Their shirts were usually hung up. "How?" he asked.

She smiled and didn't say anything, watching him button her up. "Uncle Duo you have big hands."

"Compared to yours," he said, holding his up against hers. "See?"

"How about Uncle Heero?" she asked, holding her palm up towards Heero.

"Mine are bigger," Duo said.

Leila grinned as Duo finished fixing her up. "I'm a Peeventors agent now!"

"Preventers," Duo said. "Pre-ven-ters."

"Preventers," Leila said. "Preventers!"

Then, from the pocket of her jacket she pulled out a set of handcuffs. This told Duo that Leila had his jacket on and he knew he'd left it on the back of a chair. She played with them, and he showed her how they worked. The next thing he knew, Leila had cuffed him.

She laughed. "I got you, Uncle Duo!"

"Yes you did," Duo agreed. "Are you going to let me go?"

"I'll keep you!" she said. "You can come home with me!"

"But then Uncle Heero will be lonely."

Leila pondered this, then beckoned Heero closer. "Will you be, Uncle Heero?"

"Yes I will," Heero said, quirking a grin at Duo. "I need Uncle Duo to talk to me."

"Hey! Don't make it sound like a complaint."

"It's not," Heero replied. He looked down when Leila took his hand, and then Leila had cuffed him to Duo. She clapped, laughing happily.

"Okay, you stay together, then."

"Together," Duo said, grasping Heero's hand. "You...have keys, right?" he asked softly.

Heero blinked. "No, my cuffs were messed up from last mission and I hadn't gotten a new set yet."

"Mine are in my drawer. I forgot them."

They looked at one another, then at Leila, who was looking innocently up at them. When they didn't say anything else, she went to the coffee table and began to scribble on the papers laid out there for her, talking partially to them and to herself in a language that they didn't really understand.

Unable to feel even remotely annoyed with the little girl, Duo sighed. "Wufei's our last chance, then." He grinned, nudging Heero. "You're stuck with me, man."

Heero smiled. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."
