I cross my heart and promise to
Give all I've got to give to make all your dreams come true.
In all the world you'll never find a love as true as mine

Crimson Ties Part 107
The couple of months leading up to the wedding went by in a blur for Duo.
It had taken no time to think of the location and date with Heero once the war had ended. Midi then took hold of the reins from there and never looked back, proving that she was the perfect one to be trusted to be in charge of the event. Her cousins didn't have to raise a finger towards anything aside from being measured for their suits and making a few calls on some of the details. Other than that, they rested assured that everything would be perfect for their big day.
Lowering the notepad that she had used as a reference to her notes, the 'little mother' gazed on the engaged couple sitting across from her as she informed, "Lastly on my list here, The caterer has everything that he needs to compile an array of food that will have something for all of the livings at the reception. Of course, I'll look over his menu to give suggestions and the final approval. And that concludes this update. Seeing how close we are to the wedding now, I won't have anything new to report until we are days away and preparing the location."
"You're the best, Midi," Maxwell snickered, shaking his braided head. "This whole process couldn't have been easier on us thanks to your help." Humming in agreement, Heero had a warm smile on his face as he rested a hand on his fiancé's leg.
Beaming, the Latin Vampire giggled, "Well I am all too honored for the responsibility. I really am in my element with this sort of thing and I really do enjoy-" Her stream of words came to an abrupt halt when she turned her head to see who belonged to the soft footsteps that were descending the main staircase. Gasping with a horrified expression, she called, "Anna, do be careful, dear! Why you bother with stairs at all and risking a fall is beyond me."
The redhead's voice snorted, "I'm pregnant, Midi, not an invalid. And I think that I can manage stairs just fine." Heero and Duo bit back their laughter, containing it to soft chuckles as their sister came into view at the last banister of the staircase. Following her down, Wufei stayed closely behind his wife with an equally amused smile on his scaly face over the fussing.
August came around and Anna's flat abdomen was sprouting the early stages of a bulge as she was approached the middle of her pregnancy at four months. If Wufei had been inseparable from her before, it was incredibly rare for her to be without his presence at her side as the ever doting husband and father-to-be. However, he managed to keep himself from over mothering unlike a certain Latin Infected.
However frustrated she might have been over occasionally being treated with kid gloves, the Irish Vampire took it all in stride and could never stay very upset over their 'little mother's' concern. Her skin bearing that 'glow' that pregnant women had, Anna smirked to her cousin on her way into the room in a silent 'See. I managed to stay on my feet the whole time.' That earned her a playful stick out of Midi's tongue at her that had the whole room laughing.
Sighing when she sank into the loveseat where Chang joined her, the Siren settled herself comfortably and adjusted the loose orange top she was wearing to accommodate her perfectly round bump. An adoring gaze in his eyes as he looked on his sister, Heero asked, "Did you have a good nap?"
"That I did," Anna grinned, her hands unconsciously folding over her swell. Snickering, she shrugged, "I don't even think I ever had this much sleep when I was still a living, but Sally's reassured that it's all a normal part of the process. Apparently the mother being a mortal or a Vampire doesn't change how tired this shift makes them."
Duo couldn't help the wistful smile on his face that mirrored his lover's. Seeing the redhead in her growing state as she was, he found her to be incredibly adorable. A thought coming to him, he tilted his head and asked, "Have you two decided if you're going to find out the babies' genders? You should be getting pretty close to being able to pick that up on an ultrasound, right?"
At that, the expectant parents' eyes locked in one of their silent discussion that suddenly had the Irish immortal looking nervous. Seeming to pick up on what was discussed, Midi cleared her throat and ran her eyes over her notepad again. "I'm going to call the linen supplier to check on that order for deep purple napkins that I sent in." Rising to her feet, she gave her redheaded cousin an encouraging smile and wink before she slipped from the room.
Wufei straightened himself in the cushy loveseat and rested a hand on his wife's exposed leg beneath the hem of her khaki shorts. Drawing a deep breath, he met his braided brother's silvered eyes and stated, "Yes, we have planned on learning their genders as soon as we can to sort out their names and start addressing them before they're born... which is something that we were waiting for an opportunity to discuss with you."
"No time like the present, I guess," Anna giggled, but there was a nervousness in her voice and smile. Her free right leg began to bounce rapidly, a clear sign that she was, in fact, very anxious about whatever it was they needed to bring up.
Frowning in confusion, Maxwell shook his head and exchanged a glance with Heero. "Why would their names have anything to do with me?" he inquired when he looked back on his siblings. A hurt expression crossing his face, he told the redhead, "Anna, you know you can talk to me about anything, so there's no reason for you to be so worked up right now. You're making me nervous!"
Slapping her right hand on her hopping leg to stop it, the Siren ducked her head. "I'm sorry, it's just that... well..." she tried, but words were failing her and she whimpered, looking on her scaly husband in a plea for help as her eyes began to mist over. Wufei kept his gold-and-onyx eyes on the Companion while raising his hand to rub the back of her neck soothingly. With a rough swallow, Anna leaned into his touch.
"What my dear wife means to say," the immortal warrior began, "is that these names have everything to do with you. But there is the potential that there could be rough feelings stirred up."
Only all the more puzzled, Duo was about to ask for more information but his mouth had only begun to open before Chang informed, "Neither of us would have this immense joy and gift if it hadn't been for you, brother. And you would not have been in this family had it not been for your two sets of parents- your biological pair and the two that saved you from the base in Antarctica where you were born.
Clearing his throat of the hitch that had formed in it, Wufei ignored the shimmer filling his own eyes as he whispered, So... it is only right and proper that we honor them by naming our first little ones after them- Isabel and Charles and Carol and John."
By the time the announcement had sunk home, there were already tears rolling down Maxwell's cheeks. A shuddering breath escaping him, Yuy was struggling to blink away the waver in his wet vision and rested a hand on his lover's shoulder with a small smile. "I... That's... that's..." the Reformer struggled to get out anything, his voice was cracking so badly. Rather than attempt to speak, he shot to his feet and moved for the loveseat as his tearful sister stood to greet him.
Pulling her into a fierce embrace and raining kisses on her face, he sniffled and rested their foreheads together. "Thank you," he whispered with the utmost sincere and profound appreciation. "Wherever they are, I know they must be as honored as I am by the gesture. I just don't know what to say."
Relief flooded Anna and her lips curled in a wide smile. "Just say you accept," she giggled as he brushed away the dampness from her cheeks. Leaning in, she whispered by his ear, "It's saying a hell of a lot that Wufei is willing to completely overlook the 'Twilight' reference with Isabel."
His head falling back at that along with Heero, Duo collected himself enough to nod, "I humbly accept." At Wufei's rising to his feet, the hybrid pecked his sister's lips and released her to throw his arms tightly around the scaly Infected. Chuckling deeply, Chang patted his brother's back and returned the firm hug. Yuy gave his family a moment before standing and partaking in the embraces.
A presence entered the doorway, freezing in place at the sight of the teary-eyed hugs that were being passed between the Vampires. "Oh," they gasped when the gold-ringed eyes settled on them. "I'm sorry for interrupting."
Sally held up a stack of envelopes, the movement causing the Companion band on her left arm to shimmer in the natural light that flooded the living room. "More RSVP responses to the invitations," she announced cheerfully as Zack, her newlywed husband stepped into the scene behind her.
The ruggedly handsome Vampire had been one of the former living's many patients that had lost their potential Companion in the fight before they could be freed from Solo's influence. Following her treatment of his wounds, a bond slowly but surely took hold. Now, his emerald-and-gold eyes shone with adoration for his bride as he draped an arm around the doctor's waist with a smile.
Wiping away the last of his tears with the back of his hand, Duo grinned, "Cool. Thanks, Sal."
As he accepted the thick pile, he snorted. "So much for a small wedding like we first thought we wanted," he snickered to his smirking fiancé. Not that either of them minded at all, really. There had been many strong friendships forged over the course of the last year, especially leading to the war. Somehow being married without those creatures that they had come to have such a bond with wouldn't have made the day feel complete.
Reading the return addresses on the envelopes as his lover paged through that, the Original read aloud, "Perry and his whole Clan from England, Kristy and her new Vampire- Melissa, Sharon and Jacob... that's just about all of our European friends now. Dorothy and Rosshe should be returning from their honeymoon anytime now to get their responses back to us, since I'm sure they've already expressed that they wanted an invitation before they left."
"If it wasn't for Midi taking care of all the work for us, I would have strongly considered eloping the way you did," Maxwell laughed to Sally and Zack. "That was the easiest wedding I ever got to witness."
Heero wrapped his arms around his lover's waist, smirking, "Oh, but this way you get to be the center of attention to a couple hundred beings so it's so much better considering how much you'll love that."
Chuckling deeply along with the others standing around, he was rewarded with a half-hearted glare and a smack to his arm for that little tease.

Senator Noventa stood at the top of the Congressional House stairs in Washington, arms opening and a wide smile spreading across his aged face. "Ah. So good to see you again, my friends," he greeted the Vampires climbing up to join him. Holding out a hand to Treize, they exchanged a firm shake and a one-armed embrace.
"Good to see you again as well, Paul," Khushrenada grinned warmly as he pulled back to grip the old man's shoulders. "We have all been looking forward to seeing what this mid-summer session has in store for our delegates." Stepping aside, he made room for the rest of his family to take in the kind Senator with whom they had always shared a wonderful relationship on both a professional and casual level beyond their weighted responsibilities.
Blinking widely as the last members of the clan walked up to him, Noventa gasped, "Why, Relena my dear, I have not seen you so radiant with happiness in a long time." Peacecraft giggled shyly and kissed his cheek as his attention fell on the blond-haired Companion behind her. "And you must be the lucky man who's responsible for that," he snickered to the nervous looking creature.
Peacecraft slipped beside her lover so that their arms could fall around each other's waists as she introduced formerly with a bright smile, "Quatre, Senator Paul Noventa who remains ever the charmer. Paul, this is my fiancé, Quatre Winner of whom I am very blessed to have in my existence."
A fierce blush coloring his cheeks at that, the immortal scientist cleared the lump in his throat and took a step forward to accept the hand that was being offered to him in a sturdy shake. "I'm honored to meet you, sir," he stated, shocked at how slow and confident he managed to sound without mentally concentrating on doing so. Seemed as though his social coaching from Duo was paying off. "I attend the same school as your daughter, Sylvia."
"Well then, any friend of my little jewel is a friend of mine," Noventa replied, slapping Winner's back as he led the way into the high-arched entrance of the legislative house. "I look forward to catching up with all of you." Turning to face the Infected at his right, he said, "I do hope that you all enjoyed the winter break."
Shrugging, Treize met his gaze and smirked, "Oh, besides the addition of Quatre into the family, there is really not a lot to report. All in all, the time off had been pretty uneventful." Walking up behind him, the rest of his clan shared knowing looks and quiet chuckles.

"T-Trent?" Hilde stammered, frozen with her fingers just above her computer's keyboard at the admission office's main desk. Blinking her wide eyes, she slowly rose to her feet as she took in the young man entering the room... although she was mostly staring at the glistening band on his right arm.
Waving, the former Hunter grinned, "Hey, Hilde. Catherine and I were just stopping in to make sure that our paperwork's cleared to pick up our classes in the fall again." At the speaking of her name, the redheaded weapon's expert entered right after him with a pleasant smile and a Companion band on her left arm. Side-by-side the newly turned immortals bore the same perfect complexion, hair and brilliant eyes that came to all creatures tied to a Vampire.
Once again blinking, the assistant shook her head to clear it. "Wow, I... well... this is a huge surprise," she finally managed to laugh out, a sincerely happy grin spreading across her face. "Congratulations to you both for finding your Chosen." Where in the past there would have been disgust and rage over the thought of her classmates being little more than living blood banks for those vile Infected, there was only joy and excitement...
...the work of Noin the last time they had met when the Mind Reader erased those hateful emotions along with the memories of the Hunters' organization.
"Thanks," Catherine beamed. "We'll have to introduce you to Leia and Tricia. They're pretty amazing." The way she spoke her girlfriend's name it was almost a singsong.
Practically glowing at the thought of his lover, Trent nodded enthusiastically. He couldn't help but recall the days prior to knowing the Yuy and Barton clan when he would have given anything to be with the young woman before him. But that was a time long ago and those emotions were distant memories now.
When all was sorted out following the war when it came to pairing up the rescued Others with their Vampires, it was the immortals that had come out short of their partners. Fortunately for them, there were a few very willing and deserving mortals that had participated in the surge on Solo's lair between Sally's nurses and the recruited Hunters to preserve not only the existences of those ailing Infected, but their hearts as well.
Hilde nodded, "I'd love to meet them. And yes, I do remember seeing that you're both on the roster for the fall semester." Smirking to Greyson, she informed, "If I remember right, I'm pretty sure you're in my grandfather's Public Speaking In Politics class. He decided that he wanted to come out of retirement as teach a few courses."
Already well aware that his old mentor had made that decision, Trent managed to keep from chuckling. "Cool!" he exclaimed as though he had not a clue of the announcement. "That'll come in handy since I'm taking on an internship with Treize Khushrenada and Lady Une as their advisor and speech coordinator next year." Not giving his classmate a moment to recover from that, he snickered when her jaw dropped and waved again as he spun on his heels. "Thanks, Hilde. See you in a few weeks."
When they were back out in the main corridor of the administrative facility, Catherine giggled, "You know, for a former hater of all things having to do with Vampires, you turned out alright, kid." She reached over to muss her friend's hair and they laughed all the way through the main doors to return to the bright world of the campus beyond.

And so the weeks rolled on, the passage of time meaning little for the immortal. Time only meant a strengthening of bonds and experiences to be both shared and treasured. Now that there was no longer a threat to the living and Vampire races nor the peace between them, the days and nights bled together leisurely leading up to the day of the last wedding between an Original and their Companion...

Shannon, Ireland. September, 2047.
Light music was floating on the gentle breeze that drifted from the white tent draped with colorful streamers and large white globed lights as he walked through the tall grass of the green field towards the river's edge. The cloudless sky was a multitude of breathtaking colors as the sun began its descent. In the darker reaches of the heavens, the first stars twinkled against the multicolored sky in the sunset.
It was the perfect day. Great weather this late summer day, the beautiful landscape of a pristine and natural land of trees and hills... it was what anyone could have hoped for on the day of their wedding. And the festivities could not have been better.
Undoing his tie when he stopped beside a tall tree on the beach of the river, Heero let it hang loosely to be buffeted by the light wind.
For now, the Original needed a moment to himself and his thoughts while his newlywed husband was catching up with his classmates and the sisters from the Maxwell Church that had helped raise him. That was something the braided Companion deserved to have on his own as well, to enjoy as much time with those people as he could now that they had each other for the rest of their prolonged existences to look forward to.
As for the wedding itself, it had been so perfect that it was even more surreal that he could have imagined. There was no more than the occasional, puffy clouds in the otherwise clear sky that whole day. Maxwell was strikingly handsome in his dark tuxedo, red tuxedo shirt and black tie that complimented the deep purple shirt and white tie of Heero's own suit. The exchanging of their vows was tearful and heartfelt from the pair as they stood before Lady Une as their presider, bringing a shimmer to most of the eyes of their audience.
Before either of them knew, with the help of their flower girl Rachel and ring bearer TJ, Wufei and Anna handed over the wedding bands of Gundanium that had been created by Catherine. Duo's glistening ring locked into his engagement band beautifully with the etched image of a scythe that honored Shinigami. Meanwhile, feathered details encircled the ring on Heero's left hand in a tribute to his new role as the Preventer winged avenger.
When their lips met in the deep kiss that the couple shared at the end of the wedding, they were introduced as Mister Heero and Duo Yuy-Maxwell and their onlookers gathered around the gazebo erupted with applause and cheers as they rose to their feet. It was as if it all had come to life from the pages of a fairytale that brought a warm smile to the Infected's lips as he continued to stare out to the river.
This had all been a very familiar scene more than a millennia ago for the Japanese Vampire. It had been a far more bittersweet moment back then, his standing in this very spot during Wufei and Anna's wedding while wishing that he could find his mate. This early evening, the air was only light and joyous with it being the day of his matrimony to Duo.
And it only seemed right to have their vows exchanged in this spot - the symbol of an old chapter closing and a new beginning for the both of them. His lover had been thrilled over the prospect and agreed to the location right away.
Only... now being here, it really struck Heero how profound that change of time really was.
But even in light of those changes, some very important things remained exactly the same.
That much was proven by the pair of arms that wrapped around his waist from behind from the creature that he had been too preoccupied to hear approach. His smile growing, the Japanese Vampire closed his gold-and-cobalt eyes while leaning back against his visitor. "Hey, brat," he whispered.
Giggling, Anna tightened her hold around him as she replied in kind, "Hey, yourself. " With one more squeeze, she lowered her arms and stepped around to face her brother. Wearing a flowing lilac, spaghetti-strapped sweetheart dress with a high-waisted, ground-length skirt of many layers of tulle that concealed her growing belly from the reception guests, her loose red curls were speckled with an array of colorful flowers.
True to her word, she had allowed Midi the room to wear whatever the 'little mother' wished to make her as girly as possible. The whole ensemble, right down to the elegant silver flats, completely transformed the tomboy into an elegant young immortal woman. And she took it on without a single complaint or eye roll.
as she raised an eyebrow the Irish Infected smirked, "You should be with your new husband. He'll be looking for you soon, not that he would ever believe that you were going to leave him behind for the rest of the reception."
Unconsciously she wrapped her fingers around the silver pendant in the shape of an anchor that Trowa had gifted her, the twin bands of leaves that encased her rose wedding band from her second wedding sparkling in the fading sunlight. "I would be failing my duty as Maid of Honor if I didn't come to check on you," she grinned with a wink.
"I would expect no less," Heero chuckled deeply, his unruly hair mussed even more by the growing breeze. He tilted his head and complemented softly, "You really look beautiful tonight, Anna Yuy-Chang." That was taken in with a loving smile that would have been highlighted by a blush, were his sister able to blush. Gesturing to her abdomen, he asked, "How are Isabel and Charles?"
Her free hand falling over the swell of her belly beneath the tulle, Anna laughed, "Oh, they're having a fun little wrestling match right now. A thought crossing her mind, her laughter died and her smile slipped away for a contemplative expression. Biting her lip, she peered out to the river and commented in little more than a whisper, "I hope that they'll be as close with each other as you and I are. You're only one of the most important creatures in my existence, you know."
Moved by that, Yuy blinked his widened eyes and smiled. Reaching over to gently take hold of her chin so he could turn her head towards his own, he replied just as softly, "Likewise, sister. And I don't think you'll have to worry about my niece and nephew. I think it would only be natural for them to be every bit as inseparable as you and I." The redhead's eyes grew, a sharp sting of tears filling them even as she beamed at the sentiment.
In that moment, Heero returned to their night back on this bank. He had been in such a dark place then as his sister told him that there would be someone remarkable for him one day. And like that night, he thought through much of their long history together to add on to their memories leading to that time.
Overcome by a wave of emotions, he bit his lip and felt a tear roll down his cheek before he realized that his own eyes were watering over. Snickering, he lifted a hand to brush the drop away and shook his head, "I love you," he managed softly, "...and thank you... for everything, Anna."
Sniffling, the Siren waved at her eyes, laughing brokenly, "Oh, don't go making me ruin the makeup Midi put on me." All but leaping forward, she threw her arms around his neck and rained kisses on her brother's smirking face. "I love you too, Heero," she breathed when she stepped back. The music back at the grand tent had picked up, the cheering voices of the reception partakers raising with in laughter and cheers.
"Come on, then," Anna said, holding out her right hand that bore the matching gold band that her creator wore on his right with personalized inscriptions inside reading 'Beloved Brother' and 'Sweet Sister.' "the night is still young and I'd like to have a couple dances with my brothers."
Bringing their linked hands up, Heero kissed the back of hers. "I would be honored," he whispered, allowing her to lead him back to the festivities.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
A couple of hours later...
Duo was absolutely over the moon as he watched Heero and Anna dance their third dance of the evening to the light music filling the air. Both radiant with their wide smiles as they twirled and floated across the floor in a scene just like the image of them at the redhead's wedding reception that the hybrid loved so much, they had the attention of the whole audience around. Sighing deeply, the Companion shook his braided head with a wide grin on his face.
Slowly scanning the whole lot standing around the space, Maxwell's heart was swelling at how many faces of those friends and loved ones were present to share the most important day in his life with him and Heero.
Everyone was now paired up, from his living classmates in Sylvia and Alex to Rachel and TJ so early in their growing trust of Jamal and Lisa, their shadows and confidants now who would eventually grow into their love and inevitable bonding. Their heads close together and brilliant grins on their faces, the couples whispered their lovers' secrets and laughed together with nothing but adoration in their eyes for each other.
It was by the middle of the song when one of the creatures had slipped away from the crowd to make their way for the food and beverage tables at the end of the tent. Spotting them, Duo's breath hitched in a sharp gasp and he froze in shock. This was one being that he never would have imagined seeing here, so she must have been linked to one of the old Vampire friends of the Khushrenada clan that had been included in the invitations.
For a slowed heartbeat, the Reformer was too stunned to believe that it actually was her. But he would have known that face anywhere, considering how long he had studied it while standing out in the pouring rain one afternoon after school as it was plastered on the side of a missing person poster that had been plastered on a telephone pole.
Crystal Donson.
Duo clearly remembered the image of the lovely, long-haired blonde smiling brightly out to the world with a hand raised in a frozen wave as one of the last shots taken of her before the nineteen-year-old had been taken when she left a college party.
It was shell-shocking to see her as the picture of happiness and health when he had been so sure not all that long ago that she was likely dead... and at the hands of a Vampire as he so hated them back then. The things that he had thought of the Infected that afternoon when he saw that picture... it caused a shudder to run through him.
Shaking that awful memory off, Maxwell headed off to follow the girl as her Companion band shimmered from her right arm. He reached the table after she ordered a glass of champagne from one of the servers and approached, grinning, "Having a good time?"
Her brown eyes blinking widely when she took the braided hybrid in, loose locks from her upswept twist bounced in her movement. "Oh, yes. I'm having a wonderful time," she giggled. "Congratulations, Duo. It was a beautiful wedding. I can't think of another more amazing that I've ever been to." Holding out her hand, she began in introduce herself, "I'm Cry-"
"Crystal," the Reformer finished for her, nodding. He smiled as she frowned in confusion. "I saw your picture in the Preventer files of missing persons when I first met the Yuy and Chang families." In fact, that was the truth. But he didn't want to bring up the very first time he saw her image... that would only bring back those dark thoughts he'd had back then. Accepting her hand for a shake, he said sincerely, "It's really good to see you."
Brightening at that, Dobson bowed her head and replied, "Well, I'm in debt, to you and your family... so many of us are." She turned and gestured to one of the handsome Vampires standing by the dance floor. "I believe that you've already met Kyle, though I haven't had the chance to meet you personally yet."
Instantly recognizing the Infected as one that had come to his clans' mansions days before he was taken by Solo to be a part of the fight, Duo smirked, "I do know Kyle. He's a great guy."
More omission surrounding the horrific state that the then ailing Infected had been in prior to drinking some of the Reformer's stored blood. Had he not arrived when he did, in the arms of his friends, Crystal would have become a Wild at his passing.
Absolutely glowing as she looked on her lover, the blonde Companion whispered, "Yea... he really is amazing. I couldn't imagine my life without him." Catching herself drifting, she shook her head and laughed, "But you clearly already know what that feels like."
"That I do," Maxwell smiled, his violet-and-silver eyes falling on his striking husband as the crowd parted for him at the end of his dance with Anna. "...That I do."
Giggling again, Crystal said, "Well, congratulations to you both again. I hope we can meet again. We Companions have to stick together." She gestured to the band on the hybrid's arm beneath the cuff of his short-sleeved tuxedo blouse since the jacket was no longer on him to cover it.
Duo finally turned back to meet her gaze, nodding, "We will. And thank you." Dobson slipped away quietly when she was handed over her glass of champagne to rejoin her Chosen, but the Reformer never noticed her leave. All that he was focused on was Heero.
A wide smile on his face when his Vampire wrapped him in those strong arms, Maxwell purred by his ear, "Hey." Pulling back, he pressed their lips together in a scorching kiss that had his toes curling before they broke.
"Well hello, yourself," Yuy snickered breathlessly. Resting their foreheads together, he asked, "You seemed to be far away a moment ago. Is everything alright?"
In that moment, Duo decided to really let himself off the hook for his past judgments towards Vampires for good. Nothing of what he was or what he thought before meeting Heero mattered... only who and what he was now with his lover. And they had a very, very long future to look forward to now.
Drawing a deep breath, he grinned sincerely, "Couldn't be better." To emphasize his delirious happiness, he moved in for another deep kiss that pushed away all of Yuy's concern. When they parted after a long exchange, he smirked, "Care for another dance or two with your husband?"
Rather than answer with words, the Original chuckled and laced their arms together. Stepping onto the dance floor together, they moved to the cleared center of it and locked around each other as they spun around in time with the music. Sighing deeply, Maxwell rested the side of his head against his lover's shoulder and watched the other pairs dancing around them...
Wufei and Anna....
Trowa and Midi....
Quatre and Relena....
Treize and Lady Une...
Zechs and Noin....
...his family and closest friends.
Life... or existence... or whatever it was to call it now... really was perfect.
