Duo had rushed to the scene as soon as he heard the emergency call come in over the scanner.
He found Heero leaning against an ambulance, halfheartedly fighting with the paramedic who was trying to examine the sluggishly bleeding gash above his right eye.
Duo sighed and touched Heero's face, smearing blood across his cheek. Both men leaned forward until each could rest his forehead against the other's.
Duo slid his hand around to tangle his fingers in the hairs at the nape of Heero's neck.
Heero smiled the tiniest of smiles.
The paramedic just handed the bandages to Duo.
