Gundam Pirates Prologue
"Quatre, you better hurry up. Your ride will be here soon." A voice yelled from behind the door.
"I'm hurrying, Iria. Just give me a few more minutes." Quatre turned back to his bed and placed the last of his clothes into his suitcase. Today was the day he left for training. His father had finally agreed to let him train. But only after Quatre had accidentally yelled at him through his mind. His father was unconscious for over a week. When he awoke he had a headache and agreed to Quatre's training.
Rashid open the door to reveal a young woman in her late teens. She was skinny but yet well proportioned. She was maybe 5'6", 5'8" with the two-inch heel boots she wore. They came just below her knees and were true green in color. She wore sheer silk pants that looked like they belonged on a harem girl, and a white tight fitting top the pants were sowed into. It was sleeveless. On her right shoulder was a green slash. Her hair was pure white and part of it held up by a green band. Just below her left eye was a green triangle tattoo and on her right cheek was a green crossing lines tattoo, similar to a simple star pattern. Her cold colorless eyes bore into Rashid.
"I'm here for young Mister Winner." Her voice was crisp and sounded annoyed.
"This way." Rashid showed the woman to the living room where Mister Winner and a few of his daughters where. "Sir, she's here for your son."
Mister Winner looked up from his paper. "And you are ma'am?"
The woman narrowed her eyes. "My name is Miima. I've come to take your son to his training. Where is he?"
Quatre was just finishing packing when he heard the doorbell. He knew he should go down but truthfully he was nervous.
~Come down now.~
Quatre blinked and looked around.
~I said come down now. I'm here to take you to training, and I'm in a hurry.~
~I'm coming.~ Quatre picked up a suitcase and headed down the stairs.
Sister Helen opened the door and stared at the woman. "Can I help you?" Sister Helen smiled.
"I'm here for the Feline."
"Yes, please come in. I'll go get him."
She stepped in and watched the orphans of the church. She shook her head as she watched. //Not a lot of Felines. Wonder how the boy could stand it?// She looked down when something tugged at her pant lag. The child was raised into the air. "You shouldn't do that wee one." She placed the child into another room.
"Hi!" She turned back to see who was talking to her. He had bright violet eyes and long braid, chestnut in color like his tail that was swishing behind him.
"Duo Maxwell?" She asked; he nodded. "My name is Miima. Are you ready to go?"
"Yes ma'am." Duo smiled up at her.
"Hn. Come along, I don't have all day." She turned on her heel and walked out the door. Duo followed close behind her.
Wufei grumbled as he packed his things into his two suitcases. He was mad and the charred desk in his bedroom was proof. Not to mention the burnt sofa in the living room, the brunt dining table in the dining room and the still smoking patio out back. He didn't want to go train, he wanted to stay at home and learn. He was a scholar and scholars don't train.
There was a knock on his door. He sent a fireball at it. Standing on the other side was Miima.
"Perhaps Firemind should have come for you." She said. Wufei glared and growled before turning back to his packing. "Why are you not ready? I told your family when I'd be here."
"I don't want to go. If I run late then you'll leave me."
She laughed. "I don't think so. Firemind and the Quada (1) would be upset with me. Personally I have no wish to upset them."
"They are women as are you and women are weak."
Her eyes narrowed. "Yes, we are women. Women who can kick your ass. So get a move on or I'll remove you myself. And before you start spouting off about how weak of a woman I may be, let me tell you I rate a P16 on the psyonic scale. (2)
Wufei turned back to the woman. "Do you have a name?"
The woman smiled. "Why yes I do, my name is Miima."
"What a stupid name."
"So is Chang Wufei, so I guess we're even. Come on. I don't have all day."
Trowa and Catherine Barton sat in a small office. Catherine played with small daggers. Throwing them and then materializing more. Trowa stared off into nothing.
Catherine sighed. "You could say something you know."
"...."
"Arg, why do you have to be this way. You know we start training tomorrow. I'm not going to be there with you."
"..."
"Sometimes I think you hate me."
The room fell silent with the exception of daggers hitting the wall.
"Why the hell did we get stuck with this job? They could have sent Fi or Note or even Fire, but nooo they sent us." Blade pushed open a door and peeked in. "Not like I couldn't be back in my lab working on a cure for some strange illness. Nooo I'm running around on a raid. Can you believe they did this to us?" Blade looked at her sister who was right behind her.
Gaysie shook her head, strands of red hair falling into her face. If she could talk she'd tell her sister to shut up. Well she could still tell her to shut up. Both she and Blade have a telepathic link between them. A rather strange link but it works. Blade can hear Gaysie's words if she mouths them. But they can't project the thoughts into each other's heads. And the link was only one way; Gaysie to Blade.
"Think you can knock them out?" Blade whispered.
Gaysie nodded and turned into a cloud of gas. She moved into the room. Vapors rose to the noses of those inside the room and soon they were falling asleep. Blade walked in and smiled at her sister. "Good work Ga...." Blade stop and looked and a tank near the far wall. "By the Storms."
The tank held a single thing. A boy, floating in some kind of liquid. His eyes were closed and mask covered his mouth and nose. Gaysie walked up to the tank and placed her hand on the glass.
Blade shook her head. "We have to get him out of there and back to the lab. Come we don't have much time." Blade turned to the computers and started to work.
"What word do you have?"
"All have been assembled you highness. Training will begin soon."
"Thank you."
TBC...
(1) Quada is like a queen. In this case she rules of an Alliance of worlds.
(2) A psyonic scale is how you cage the strength of a telepath or telekinetic. I actually got the idea from Babylon 5. But they only went as high as 12. Hee hee Miima is much stronger.
Feedback would be most welcomed.
