The Princes' Choice sequel Part 2
Quatre watched as Trowa took the sapling out of the satchel. Trowa turned to him and shrugged. Quatre led the way to the sleeping chambers. Quatre went into a room with Trowa close behind. Once inside Trowa placed the sapling next to a window.
"Why did you bring it with you?" Quatre asked sitting down on a couch.
"I didn't want it left alone. Quatre what do we do now?" Trowa sat down next to him.
"We rest. It's another three weeks to my home. We need the break. Myself especially. I have been traveling for five months straight. I am beginning to feel the affects."
"Will your family have any problems with me?"
Quatre looked at Trowa. Quatre's eyebrows drew together. "Why do you ask?"
"You said your father wanted a male heir to take over after him. You wish me to be your life mate. But neither of us can bear children. Will your family have a problem with that?"
"To be honest Trowa I really don't know. I hope that they will accept you. I would think that if father wanted me to have a female life mate he would have ordered it. Instead he told me to go out and look."
"I see." Trowa got up and headed for the bed.
"Where are you going?"
"I have not traveled so much in my life. I am very tired. I'm going to take a nap."
"Oh." Quatre then grinned. "Do you want some company?"
Trowa looked over at Quatre. "Only if you behave yourself."
Quatre smiled even more and ran over to the bed and lay down next to Trowa. "I promise." Quatre snuggle up close to Trowa throwing an arm and leg of him. "Of course I wouldn't mind if you didn't behave." Quatre kissed Trowa on the lips.
"Mmm... You are hard to resist you know."
"I know."
"I'm not going to misbehave."
Quatre pouted. "Not even a little?"
"We'll see."
Heero sat at his desk and watched Duo sleep. He had been asleep for several hours. Heero himself had only slept for few hours. But Duo, had been asleep for over five hours. After waking Heero had gone to the library and got an old book. It was one he remembered being read to him when he was younger. He had returned to the room to find Duo still asleep. Heero sat down and started to read.
A knock came to the door and startled Heero out of his reading. "Yes?"
The door opened to reveal Princess Relena. "Hello Your Highness." She said in a loud voice.
"Shh. You'll wake him. And what do you want?"
"I came to see how you were." Relena continued to talk loudly.
"I am fine, now lower your voice."
"Why?"
"Because he is asleep." Heero pointed over to Duo.
Relena looked over at the bed and then walked over to it. Heero was right behind her. "He doesn't look magical."
"That does not matter. Now leave."
Relena turned to Heero and throw herself into his arms. "Oh Heero, why, why does fate have to be so cruel?" She started to wail. "We should be together. Not bonded to something we cannot stand!!"
Heero looked over at Duo on the bed and saw a violet eye open. And then he saw a confessed Duo. Heero looked down at the woman in his arms. He let go of her and headed for the bed and Duo. "Go away Relena."
"But Heero you and I...."
Heero sat down on the bed. "There is NO you and I, Relena. You just want there to be. Now go before I call for the guards." Heero looked at Duo who was still confused.
Relena then threw herself at Heero's bed. "PLEASE my Love!!!"
Heero glared at her. "Guards!!" With in seconds there were five guards in the room. "Take the Princess to her chambers. She is distraught. Also inform her future life mate. Perhaps she can calm the Princess."
"Yes sire!" The guards helped the princess up and carried her out of the room.
Heero turned back to the pixie/elf next to him. "Good afternoon. Or I should say good evening. Did you sleep well?"
Duo looked at Heero. "Yes. Heero who was that person?"
"Princess Relena. She wishes to bond with me."
"But I thought...."
"Shh. You and I shall be bonded. She is to bond with another or lose her whole kingdom to her brother and Wufei."
"She..." Duo tailed off and went to Heero and wrapped his arms around his waist.
"She what?" Heero wrapped his arms around Duo.
"Nothing." Duo ducked his head and snuggled closer to Heero.
Heero looked down at Duo. 'Why is he so sad? He seems like he's trying to crawl into my skin.' "Duo are you alright?"
"Yes."
There was another knock on the door. "Who is it?"
"Your highness, it is time for evening meal." a person said.
"We shall be down in a moment."
"Yes sire."
"Duo, are you hungry?"
"Yes."
Heero got up and went over to his closet. "Hmm, we need to put you in some clothes." Heero pulled out a pair of pants and a shirt. "Here these should work. They will be big on you though."
"That's fine." Duo got dress.
