Heero frowned, glaring at the doorknob.
The door was locked.
The door was never locked.
Duo never locked the bathroom door.
Heero had grown accustomed to walking in on Duo in the tub, in the shower, braiding his hair, preening before the large mirror.
Duo had no sense of modesty or shame regarding his body.
Duo NEVER locked the bloody damn door.
So, why the hell was it locked now?!
He tapped on the door.
"Duo? Are you in there?"
He put his ear to the door, although he could hear perfectly well.
Water sloshed. He heard a "squlrrrrb" sound. Then a splash and a thud.
"Duo? Duo?!"
No answer.
Heero put his hand against the doorframe next to the lock, and pushed. He popped the door open.
And found his friend facedown in the tub.
"DUO!!!"
