Blue Forest Banshee Part 34
I survived our first big job together.
More important, Heero survived our first big job together.
And so did the Human cops we were working with.
What an experience! We had to deal with a demon. My first encounter with a demon. Well, except for Zephyrus and this wasn't his kind of demon at all. This one looked like a really groady toad and it was enormous! Heero says I blew it up.
I don't remember. I passed out, I guess when I did it, but Heero wouldn't lie to me -- what would be the point? -- and he swears I did it all myself.
The exploding toad ruined a perfectly good pair of boots and a new outfit, but the Bureau paid me back. And they paid the cop who was with me, whose clothing got ruined also. Luckily, the bathing Sprites had some stuff to get the toad guts out of my hair.
I found some books on demons the next day, and began reading up on them. I'm going to do that for all the different creatures we could encounter. I don't know much about other Magical Creatures. Trowa and Wufei have been telling me about their respective types of Weres; it's very interesting.
I want to ask Heero about Wyverns, but I haven't yet. I know he would tell me, well, pretty sure, but somehow it seems just a little rude. Maybe I'm scared. Maybe I'm just a run and hide Banshee. He's so great to work with. I don't want to fuck that up.
I did something stupendously silly, though. I kissed him. I didn't plan on it; I don't even know why I did it.
We were in the library. I was sitting, he was standing next to me, when I had a sudden overwhelming need to jump up and kiss him. So I did. Then he tried to get hold of me, and we sort of... fell over. I was on the floor and he was on top of me, and he was still kissing me or I was kissing him -- I don't know how you decide who's doing what -- and I couldn't breathe, but I didn't care. Oh, I so did not care! And then Master Rosencrantz showed up, and ended everything. I was so embarrassed, but Heero, well, he said next time it'd be better. I know what I hope he meant, but maybe I'm wrong... Nothing else happened after that. I was disappointed.
