Drabble 29
"Anything?" Heero asked, leaning on the rail next to his captain.
"Nothing," Duo closed the spyglass and frowned. "Just a bunch of really ugly grinning wooden statues. I think we can pass it by."
"We did well enough with the last cargo," Heero consoled him. "The ladies are looking forward to docking in town tomorrow."
"I'll have to send advance warning to the minister," Duo sighed and headed back towards his cabin. "They never leave that poor man alone."
"I'm beginning to think he likes it," Heero pointed out as he opened the door. "He never really hides very well."
"That's true." Duo dropped down onto the edge of the bed and grinned at Heero. "And besides, it means that we have the ship to ourselves- so I don't have to gag you."
"You never have to gag me!"
"How many times have you woken the poor souls trying to sleep below?" Duo reached out and pulled his cabin boy down beside him on the bed.
"It's not my fault," Heero protested. "I can't help my reactions when you- do certain things!"
"I know it." Duo smiled and pulled out a strip of cloth from underneath his pillow. "So you'll be good and not protest the gag this time?"
"This time," Heero muttered and opened his lips. Much to his surprise, Duo tossed the cloth to the floor and kissed him instead. "What-?"
His captain grinned evilly. "On second thought, maybe we should see if they can hear you up in the crow's nest."
