"Love you." I whisper close to Heero's ear.
Heero's bangs tickle under my chin, I brushed them aside. He takes my hand, intertwine his fingers with mine and, with a sated sigh, drifts off to sleep.
Another secret night, safe from the prying eyes of the world. Our bed is a harbor to weather the storms of war and a haven from hate.
It's damn difficult to risk our lives for other people's freedom while being denied our right to be together. Heero and I aren't ashamed of our love but we'd be stupid to tempt those narrow-minded bastards who feel justified in killing us because we choose a different lifestyle.

I pull the sheet over Heero's bare chest, drape my arm over his waist and close my eyes. My mind wanders back to the first time Heero said he loved me. His declaration wasn't like being struck by lightning but more like a gentle tap on my heart.
I've never doubted our love or that it would last a lifetime. Cause I know a love that will never grow old.

"Love you, too." I whisper as I curl up in Duo's reassuring embrace.
