Life With Heero Arc Part 84
Very "Nice" Indeed
Waking up wrapped in the arms of Heero Yuy was something that Duo didn't think he would ever get tired of. He'd always liked the feelings of comfort and security it engendered, even back when they were just friends. Now, though - well, now it felt even better. The skin-to-skin part was a little strange - good, but still strange in its newness. It made the whole thing so much more intimate... A tiny bit awkward at first - but nothing they hadn't been able to handle after that initial hesitation to make the first move.
Duo sighed contentedly and laced his fingers through those of the arm wrapped around him. He was extremely glad that he'd resisted the temptation to bring this up earlier in the week. Friday night had been a far better choice since now they had the whole weekend - well, most of it anyway - to get used to this and do a little more exploring and experimenting. Maybe even a lot more if all went well.
Last night they hadn't even gotten around to taking a good look at each other. Just stripped in the almost-dark and slid under the covers. From there on, the focus had been on touch, not sight. It hadn't taken long for them both to relax and start enjoying the sensations. Despite the fact that Heero had been pretty badly off-balance by the time that they made it to bed.
Duo really hadn't intended to shake Heero's composure like that. He hadn't even thought about how Heero might interpret his remark that they didn't need to worry about going too far, too fast. But he thought that maybe at least he'd finally gotten through to Heero now. Finally made him understand that they were in this together, no matter how long it might take. Sure, it was disappointing to have to call a halt before Heero's control training called one for them and, yeah, he'd been left in a distinctly less than comfortable state on a number of occasions. But a case of blue balls never killed anybody. He could deal with it.
'Maybe I won't have to for too much longer...' he thought hopefully. True, they hadn't pushed things very far at all last night. Cuddling and some mutual exploration beneath the covers. Just getting comfortable with being naked together. And that was honestly all he'd ever intended for them to do at first. But he was hoping that by just easing into things, by not getting all hot and bothered, they might manage to avoid setting off Heero's training. 'Take things slow and sweet... have a little fun... no pressure, no rush...' Combine that approach with the change of locale - a lot of very important, very personal, discussions had taken place in this bed, either in the comforting darkness of the night or the dim stillness of early morning; it was a place of security and acceptance for them both - and maybe they'd make some real progress.
And dropping any and all restrictions on the physical aspect of things couldn't hurt either. Heero might have been subconsciously triggering the control training because he was thinking about the fact that there were limitations in place and anticipating the need to abide by them.
Duo smiled as Heero shifted slightly behind him, pressing a kiss to the nape of his neck. He knew that Heero had been awake even before him. They'd just both been content to lie here and enjoy the luxury of not having anywhere else that they needed to be.
Rolling over to face Heero, he murmured a quiet "Morning."
"Good morning," Heero returned softly.
"Have any plans for today?" Duo asked, hoping that the answer would be in the negative. His own were pretty flexible but he was looking forward to implementing them.
Heero shook his head slightly. "We could always just spend all day like this..." he teased, running his hand down Duo's back.
Duo grinned and chuckled, "Well, that is pretty much what I had in mind..."
Heero's hand froze in place, curved around Duo's hip. "You're joking..." he said uncertainly.
Smiling softly, Duo shook his head.
"You're serious?"
Duo nodded and caressed the curve of Heero's jaw lightly. "Pretty much, yeah. I figured - if you want - we'd just freshen up, have some breakfast, then come back up here and... well, just see where things lead us. No pressure," he added hastily, "but no restrictions either. Anything you want to try is fine by me.
"And, hey, if all we end up doing is lying here like this..." Duo propped himself up and kissed the hollow of Heero's collarbone then trailed moist kisses up the side of his neck until he reached Heero's ear before continuing in a low murmur, "...just kissing and touching... well.." He flopped back down on the pillow and smiled at Heero, "Hell, that still sounds pretty damn good to me."
"If I can't..." Heero hesitated, then blurted out, "...will you let me..."
Duo cut him off with a simple, "Yes." He didn't know exactly what Heero was trying to ask but it didn't matter. "No restrictions, remember?" He shrugged one shoulder. "I trust you, Heero. Anything you want to try is okay."
Heero stared at him for a moment, then demanded, "It's really that simple for you?"
"Yes - and no." Duo chewed his lip for a moment, trying to find a way to explain. "I trust you. And I've spent a lot of time thinking this through; it's not a snap decision for me. Last night... last night just confirmed that I was okay with all of this. It didn't matter where you touched me; it all felt good. A little - weird - sometimes, at first, just because it was so new to have anyone touching me like that, but still good. Doesn't necessarily mean that I'll like everything we try but I'm willing to at least attempt anything you want.
"I'm giving you control of what we try, of how fast things move, all of it."
Speechless, Heero shook his head, then kissed Duo's forehead. "I - don't know what to say," he admitted. "But that wasn't really what I was asking.
"Before, you wouldn't let me... Well, you said it had to be mutual or not at all. Does that still hold?"
"Oh." Duo had to think about that for a few moments. He still didn't like the idea of Heero giving him release even if Heero himself couldn't get to that point. It seemed too much like using Heero. But he had said no restrictions and he knew that Heero really had been bothered by his repeated refusals before... 'And it's just one more restriction that I've been putting on him. One more reason that he might have subconsciously felt a need to stay in control...' Without giving himself any more time to debate, Duo answered, "I said no restrictions now and I meant it. If that's what you want, then - well, okay."
"Good..." Heero sighed, hugging Duo tightly. "Then - I think your plan for the day sounds very..."
"Yuy, I'm warning you now, if you say it sounds very 'nice', I'm gonna..."
"You're 'gonna' what?"
"I'm gonna shower and use up all the hot water before you get yours..." Duo threatened, a grin tugging at the corners of his lips.
"Appealing. It sounds very appealing," Heero said hastily, grinning back.
Duo braced his hands against Heero's shoulders and pushed himself away a bit in order to glare more effectively. "Appealing? It sounds very appealing? Shit, Yuy, we need to work on your vocabulary...
"I think I'm still gonna use up all the hot water..." he grumbled as he rolled out of bed and started towards the bathroom. Heero chuckled behind him and he heard the mattress creak as Heero got out of bed too. "Yeah, yeah, yuck it up, buster... We'll see how funny it is when you're taking an ice-cold shower..."
"Not going to happen," Heero announced.
"Oh really? And why's that?" Duo challenged teasingly as he glanced over his shoulder.
"Because..." Heero hesitated for a moment and Duo raised an eyebrow as Heero's cheeks flushed very slightly. "Because I'm going to share your hot one instead," Heero finished, his eyes meeting Duo's in a look that was a mix of playful teasing and serious request.
Duo laughed in surprised delight. "Well, in that case..." he strove unsuccessfully to keep a straight face, "...your plan sounds...
"...very 'nice' indeed!"
