Traitorous Acts Prologue
The Order~
"Do what you must, but Heero, kill her! I don't care how you do it, just make sure she's dead."
The king's youngest son started. "Why a princess?" His voice was low and emotionless, unreflecting of the surprise he felt.
King Odin Lowe leaned forward slightly in his throne. "You know I would normally ignore a woman of royalty. However, this girl is too dangerous--she has shone signs of intelligence at an amazing level that we can not allow at the brink of war." He sat back again. "I would send Trowa or Wufei, but they would be recognized too easily."
Heero nodded. It was true. Ever since childhood, he had always taken to the shadows while his older brothers were in the front line. Unlike Trowa, who was the Crown Prince, and Wufei, in charge of the army and defenses, Heero always prefered working out his own battle tactics and sticking to his studies. After his birth, he had been all but forgotten by his nation. And he liked it that way.
"Yes Father." He prepared to bow out of the room.
"Remember Heero, take it slow, act your part. Allow it--let's see, it's February now--until September."
"Ryoukai," he intoned, blue eyes iced over and revolver at his hip.
