Shinigami's Secret Teaser
As the crowd roared in approval Duo bowed one more time, his eyes searching out the familiar figure in the front row. Tonight was his anniversary concert. Shinigami had gotten a number one album on the charts every year for the past six years. He had wanted Heero to see this performance. After all he had inspired that first album, and every succeeding one.

It had started a long time ago. When Duo had first started to be popular, at fourteen. It had been just another back stage party when he was still touring as the opening for the band Oz, back when Zech's was still singing and not the president of Sony records.
A boy had been sitting huddled in the corner much to young to be out this late. Thick chocolate locks streaked with pink to match his eye shadow and lipstick. He wore a loose tank top and tiny black leather shorts. His knee high socks and piercings seemed almost obscene on one so young. And his large pacific blue eyes looked so sad.
A girl with orange hair and green eyes met Duo's gaze and smirked.
Sidling up to the young singer she said, "Like what ya see?"
Distracted he looked at the girl with a frown, "What?"
"Well that pretty boy over there is my son, Heero. You can have him for ten U.S. dollars."
"What?!"
"I brought him along tonight hoping one of you entertainer types would be interested. You see, I got a one-way ticket out of Japan with a nice rich guy who doesn't want me to bring any baggage. I figure since he's nine, Heero's old enough to start in the business. I just need him out of the way while I pack and disappear. For ten dollars you can have him, you can throw him out on the street tomorrow, pass him to some friends, I don't care. I just figured since you're kinda young looking yourself, you'll be easier on him since he never did anything like this before."
Feeling sick to his stomach Duo sneered at her, "I don't buy people."
"Fine whatever, that guy looks interested. He'll probably pay ten dollars."
Seeing her point at one of the promoters, J. Duo was assaulted with visions of that grotesque excuse for a man tearing that waif apart.
He had heard rumors...
"Fine here." Duo shoved the money at the woman who smiled gleefully and walked over to the boy. Large mistrustful eyes stared at him but it was with a resigned expression the boy followed his mother over.
"He knows what's expected of him." she stated and disappeared into the crowd without a backwards glance.
Unsure of what to do now Duo cut through the crowd to the exit not even looking to see if he was being followed. In fact, he was kind of surprised when he got back to the hotel room and he saw he still had that little shadow.
"Um Heero? Why don't you take a shower and clean all that gunk off your face?" He pointed to the bathroom and tossed a towel at the boy.
The boy silently followed his instructions and Duo wondered what to tell the guys when they came back from the party.
Using some extra blankets to make up another bed on the floor he turned when a door opened. The boy was standing in the middle of the room completely naked. Embarrassed Duo blushed and threw a night shirt at him with a little. "Eeep!" then rushed the bathroom to get ready for bed.
When he got out the boy was staring at him from the bed not a hint of emotion in his eyes as he began to unbutton the nightshirt. Duo rushed over and stilled Heero's hand.
"No, that's not why I brought you up here! Just get some sleep we'll figure out what to do in the morning."
The boy cocked his head and whispered in a confused voice, "Nani?"
The woman forgot to mention her son didn't speak English. And Duo didn't speak Japanese.
